Özet
İletisim alanındaki bilimsel çalısmalarda önemli bir yere sahip olan kitle iletisim araçları ve bu araçların mesaj iletiminde kullandıkları içerik ve yöntem çogu kez arastırma konusu olmustur. Kitle iletisim araçları içerisinde yaygın kullanımı dolayısıyla önemli bir yere sahip olan televizyon da bilgilendirme islevi temel alınarak televizyon haberleri baslıgı altında bilimsel çalısmalara konu olmustur. Toplumsal bir olgu ve kurum olarak hakkında bilgiye fazlasıyla ihtiyaç duyulan spor kavramı da televizyon ile iliskisi baglamında kimi bilimsel çalısmalara konu olurken, ?televizyon spor haberleri? sekli ve kapsamında çok fazla incelenmemistir. Bu temel noktadan hareketle, kaleme alınan bu çalısma dört bölümden olusmaktadır. lk bölümde; spor kavramı ile ilgili meraktan hareketle ?spor nedir?? sorusunun yanıtı aranmıs ve ardından sporun toplumsal kurumlarla olan etkinlik iliskisi tartısılmıstır. kinci bölümde ise; iletisim ve kitle kavramları aydınlatılarak, kitle kültüründen kitle iletisimine uzanan bir literatür taraması yapılmıs ayrıca ?Kitle iletisim aracı olarak televizyonun özellikleri? hakkındaki belirlemelerin ardından kitle iletisim araçlarında sporun yer alısı incelenmistir. Üçüncü bölümde de; haber kavramına iliskin tanımlamaların ardından televizyon haberciliginin tarihsel gelisimi, kamu ve özel yayıncılıkta televizyon haberciligi konuları tartısılmıstır. Dördüncü bölüm olan uygulama bölümünde ise; belirlenen örneklem üzerinde televizyon spor haberlerinin yapısal içerigi ve haber diline yönelik bir arastırma yapılmıs ?çerik Analizi? yöntemi uygulanarak kimi sonuçlar elde edilmis ve yorumlanmıstır.
The mass communication devices which has a very important role on the scientific investigations about communication fields and the involvings and methods which these devices use for sending messages have mostly been a subject of many studies. Television, which has a very important role just because it is the most widely used among the others, has also been a topic for the television news while the investigators take it as the basic point of informing procession. "Sports" as a subject about which investigators need to have lots of information because of the fact that it is a public concept has also been investigated for its relations with television altough it has not been fully investigated by means of "television sports news". By starting this basic point, this investigation report which has been prepared consists of four parts. In the first part; the answer of the question "What is sports ?" has been searched by the help of curiosity on the concept of sports and just after it, the acfivity relation of sports with the community institutions has been discussed. In the second part; the concepts mass and communication have been explained, a literature research starting from mass culture continuing till mass communication has been made and also after the satisfying information about the "features of television as a mass communication device", the role of sports on the mass communication devices has been examined. In the third part; after the explanations about news concept, historical developments of making news on TV and television news on public and private broadcasting have been discussed. Finally in the fourth part, which is also the practice part; a research about the structural contents and news language has been made by giving definite examples and some results have been obtained and interpreted after the method of "Content Analysis" has been applied.
