Özet
Amaç: Türkiye’de diş hekimliği eğitiminde ultrason, son yıllarda büyük bir büyüme göstermiştir, ancak ultrason teknolojisi uzun yıllardır kullanılmaktadır ve ses daha uzun bir bilimsel tarihe sahiptir. Vücudumuzu ve baş boyun bölgesini anlamak için ses ve ultrason kullanma, diş hekimliğinde önemli bir rol oynayacaktır. Bu çalışmada uzmanlık öğrencileri arasında ultrason kullanımının mevcut durumu ve gelişimi ölçülmüştür. Gereç ve Yöntemler: On kişilik uzmanlık öğrencisi grubu için beş kademeden oluşan bir ultrason eğitim programı düzenlendi. Program tanıtımından sonra yirmi soruluk bir test ve eğitimden sonra yirmi soruluk modifiye bir test uygulandı. Uygulanan testlerin sonuçları istatistiksel olarak karşılaştırıldı. Bulgular: Ultrason laboratuvar çalışması öncesi ve sonrası teste toplamda 10 adet diş hekimliği uzmanlık öğrencisi katıldı. İlk test sonuçlarına bakıldığında ortalama 40 puan iken eğitim sonrası yapılan ikinci testte ortalama 80‘e çıkmıştır. Bu sayısal artış istatistiksel olarak değerlendirildiğinde Paired Samples t-testine göre test başarısı istatistiksel olarak anlamlı şekilde artmıştır. (p<0.001) Sonuç: Mevcut çalışmanın sonuçları, ultrasonun diş hekimliği uzmanlık eğitimine entegre edilebileceğini gösterdi. Uzmanlık öğrencilerine yapılan test yanıtları, ultrasonografi laboratuvar egzersizini değerli bir öğrenme aracı olarak gördüklerini, çünkü çeneyüz anatomisini daha iyi anlamayı sağladığını göstermiştir. Bu tarz kademeli eğitimlerin kolay bir öğrenme metodu olduğu ve etkin bir yöntem olduğu görüldü.
Background: Ultrasound in dental education showed a tremendous growth in recent years in Turkey, but the ultrasound technology used for many years and has a longer scientific history. Using sound and ultrasound to understand our body and head neck region will play an important role in dentistry. In this study, current status and development of ultrasound use were measured. Methods: An ultrasound training program consisting of five stages was organized for the group of ten dental expertise students After the program introduction, a 20-question test, and after training a modified 20-question test were performed. The results of the tests were statistically compared. Results: A total of 10 dental expertise students participated in the test before and after ultrasound laboratory study. The average of the first test results was 40 points and the second test was 80 after the training. According to the Paired Samples t-test, the statistical success of the test was significantly increased. (p <0.001) Conclusion: The results of the current study showed that ultrasound could be integrated into dental expertise education. Test responses to specialization students have shown that ultrasound lab exercise is a valuable learning tool, because it provides a better understanding of the jaw-facial anatomy. It was seen that such gradual training was an easy learning method and an effective method.
