dc.description.abstractAim: To investigate association between preoperative and postoperative complete blood counts and malignant process in patients with endomatrial cancer and endometrial hyperplasia. Materials and Methods: 51 endometrial cancer and 23 endometrial hyperplasia patients were included. Preoperative and postoperative blood count values were retrospectiveley evaluated in two groups. Results: 43 out of 51 cancer patinets had early stage disease, 8 had advanced disease. 15 out 23 hyperplasia patients had complex atypia while 15 had simple hyperplasia without atypia. There were no association between preoperative and postoperative thrombocyte and leukocyte count in patients with endometrial cancer or atypical hyperplasia. But endometrial cancer patients with advanced disesase had higher preoperative leukocye count than patients with simple hyperplasia. Moreover there were no difference with regard to preoperative and postoperative blood counts between advanced stage disease and early disase. Although not significant endometrial cancer patients with advanced disease had higher preoperative leukocyte count than patinets with early stage disease. Also rate of preoperative leukocytosis for malignant patients was higher than patients with hyperplasia. Conclusion: The value of pre or postoperative complete blood count to differentiate hyperplasia from malignant endometrial disease is limited. But leukocytosis to differentiate advanced malignant disease from early stage disease could be useful.en_US
dc.description.abstractAmaç: Endometriyum kanseri tanısı alan hastaların preoperatif ve postoperatif tam kan sayımı değerlerinin (trombosit, beyaz küre) malign sürece etkisi ve hastal›¤›n yayg›nl›¤›yla iliflkisinin arafltırılması. Materyal metod: Bu retrospektif çalıflmaya endometrium kanseri nedeniyle opere edilen 51 hasta ve endometrial hiperplazi nedeniyle opere edilen 23 hasta dahil edilmifltir. Preoperatif ve postoperatif kan değerleri (trombosit ve beyaz küre) kanserli ve hiperplazili gruplarda karşılaştırılmıştır. Bulgular: Kanserli hastaların 43’ü erken evre (evre 1), 8’i ise ileri evre idi (evre 3- 4). Hiperplazili hasta grubunda 15 hastada basit atipisiz hiperplazi, 8 hastada ise kompleks atipili hiperplazi mevcuttu. Hastalar nihai patolojilerine göre malign veya atipili hiperplazi olmas›na göre 2 gruba ayrıldığında hastaların preoperatif ve postoperatif trombosit ve lökosit de¤erleri aras›nda fark gözlenmemekteydi. Hastalar nihai patolojilerine göre malign veya basit atipisiz hiperplazi olarak 2 gruba ayrıldığında, hiperplazili grubun preoperatif lökosit değeri kanserli hastalardan düflüktü. Erken evre hastalar ileri evre hastalarla karfl›laflt›r›ld›¤›nda iki grup arasında preoperatif değerler ya da postoperatif de¤erleri arasında fark yoktu fakat her ne kadar anlaml› olmasa da ileri evre hastalar erken evre hastalar göre daha yüksek preoperatif lökosit değerlerine sahipti. Lökositoz malign hastalarda hiperplastik hastalara göre daha yüksek oranda saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Atipili endometrial hiperplazi kanser ayrımında pre/postoperatif tam kan sayım değerleri aras›nda fark yokken, endometrium kanserinde erken evre ileri evre ayırımı için preoperatif lökositoz oranları faydalı olabilir.
