dc.description.abstractFinlandiya dünya kereste ihracatında önde gelen ülkeler arasında yer almaktadır. Yüksek kaliteli iğne yapraklı ağaç yetiştirmeye uygun coğrafi şartları ve iklimi Finladiya’ yı Avrupanın en ormanlık ülkesi haline getirmiştir. Coğrafi durumun kendisine sağladığı diğer bir avantaj ise nehirler ve iç göller sayesinde mükemmel bir su taşıma ağına sahip olmasıdır. Her iki avantajı da uzun yıllar ülke, lehine kullanmıştır. Ancak son 50 yılda; orman kaynaklarının tükenmemesi, gelecek nesillere de hizmet edebilmesi için sağlıklı ve canlı bir ekosistemin sürdürülebilirliğinin sağlanması önem kazanmıştır. Bununla beraber yüzdürme tekniği ile uzun yıllardan beri hasat alanından fabrikalara taşınan tomrukların nakliyesinde daha hızlı daha ekonomik tercihler de zamanla kullanılmaya başlanılmıştır. Bu çalışmada hem kereste hasatının hem de nakliyesinin sürdürülebilirliği ele alınmış ve nakliyesi konusunda yapılan tercihlerin yarattığı kalite maliyetleri karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu karşılaştırmalar sonunda hemen her konudaki en iyi tercihlerin yaratabileceği kalite maliyetleri ve diğer maliyetlerin sürdürülebilirlikleri incelenmiş, her gün yüzlerce karar veren sosyal hayattaki insanların ve işletme yöneticilerinin dikkatine sunulmuştur. Aynı zamanda bu tür bir analizin yapılabilirliğinin literatürde tartışmaya açılması amaçlanmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractFinland is among the leading countries in lumber export. Finland is Europe’s most forested country thanks to its geographical conditions and climate which is suitable for growing high quality coniferous trees. Another advantage geographical conditions provide Finland with is that thanks to its rivers and inner lakes, it has a perfect water transport network. The country has used both advantages to its own favor for years. But in the last 50 years, ensuring the sustainability of a healthy and lively ecosystem in order not to consume forest resources but to make them available for next generations has gained importance. Additionally faster and more economic options have now also been being used for transporting logs which have been transported from the harvest zone to the factories with the timber rafting technique for years. In this study, sustainability of both lumber harvest and its transportation is discussed and quality costs created by the preferences made in the subject of its transportation is compared. After these comparisons, the sustainability of quality costs and other costs possible to arise through the use of best options at almost each subject is discussed and brought to the attention of people in social life and business managers that take hundreds of decisions on a daily basis. This study also aims to open up the feasibility of such an analysis for discussion within the literature.en_US
