Sağlık turistlerinin Türkiye’yi tercih nedenlerinin belirlenmesi: Bir vakıf üniversite hastanesi örneği

| dc.description.abstract | Son yıllarda yaygın hale gelen sağlık turizmi özellikle gelişmekte olan ülkelerde önemli bir gelir kaynağıdır. Bu çalışmada, akredite bir Vakıf Üniversite hastanesine tedavi amacıyla gelen sağlık turistlerinin Türkiye’yi tercih nedenleri incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, İstanbul ilinde bir Vakıf Üniversitesi bünyesinde hizmet veren bir hastaneye sağlık hizmeti almak için başvuran yabancı uyruklu 284 hasta oluşturmuştur. Veriler, çevirmen eşliğinde yüz yüze anket yöntemi ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler (ortalama, standart sapma ve yüzde dağılımlar) ve Spearman sıra korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Tedavi amaçlı gelen yabancı hastaların Türkiye’yi tercih nedenleri arasında, “birinci sınıf doktor, hemşire ve sağlık personeli” (4,39±0,65) en önemli faktör olarak bulunmuştur. Çalışmada ayrıca, hastaların Türkiye’yi ve hizmet aldıkları hastaneyi tekrar tercih etme ve tavsiye etme niyetleri ile “yaş”, “eğitim durumu”, “uluslar arası akreditasyon”, “tedavi sonrası ücretsiz/uygun fiyatlı seyahat turları”, “Türkiye’nin turistik özellikleri” ve “dini ve kültürel yakınlık” arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmıştır (p<0,05). Ülkemizde sağlık turizminin teşviki için, kalifiye sağlık personeli, hizmet kalitesi ve alt yapıya ilişkin faktörlerin iyileştirilmesi ve güçlendirilmesi oldukça önemlidir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Health tourism has become widespread and been source of income in recent years, especially in developing countries. In this study, the reasons why health tourists who come to an accredited Foundation University hospital for treatment purposes prefer Turkey were examined. The sample of the research consisted of 284 foreign patients who applied to a hospital operating under a Foundation University in Istanbul to get health care. Data were collected by face-to-face survey method with a translator. Descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation and percentage distributions) and sepearman rank correlation analysis were used to analyze the data.The primary reason of foreign patients prioritize when choosing Turkey is the “first-class doctors, nurses and healthcare personnel” (4,39±0,65). In addition, there was a positive significant relationship between patients’ intention to choose or recommend Turkey and the hospital they receive service from again and the variables of age, educational status, international accreditation, free/affordable post-treatment travel tours (p<0,05). In order to promote health tourism in our country, it is very important to improve and strengthen the factors related to qualified health personnel, service quality and infrastructure. | |
