This experiment was conducted to investigate effects of different available phosphorus (0.25, 0.35 % AP) and phytase enzyme levels (0, 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 U/kg) on the performance, egg shell quality and phosphorus level of serum in laying hens. The experiment was carried out for six 14 days periods and commercial white Babcock hybrids with a total of 240 were used. The experiment in 2x5 factorial arrangement was conducted in completely randomized design. At the end of experiment, performance, egg shell quality and phosphorus level of serum were not significantly affected by levels of phytase enzyme and available phosphorus x phytase enzyme interaction and dietary phosphorus levels did not significantly influence performance and serum P levels (P>0.05). Shell weight and shell percentage as a measure of egg shell quality were significantly affected by dietary available phosphorus (P<0.05). Shell weight and shell percentage of groups fed diets containing 0.25, 0.35. % available phosphorus, were found as; 6.09, 6.00 g and 9.24, 9.12 %, respectively.
