Özet
Günümüzde sağlık sektöründe kaliteyi artırma çabalarından en önemlisi olarak hasta ile çalışan güvenliği ve söz konusu bu kavramların sağlık kurumlarında örgüt kültürünün bir parçası olarak kabul edilmesi konusu karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Hasta güvenliği, sağlık bakım hizmetlerinin kişilere vereceği zararı önlemek amacıyla sağlık kuruluşları ve bu kuruluşlardaki çalışanlar tarafından alınan önlemlerin tamamıdır. Hasta güvenliğinin amacı ise, hasta, hastane personeli ve hasta yakınlarını fiziki ve psikolojik olarak olumlu etkileyecek bir ortam yaratarak, güvenliği sağlamaktır. Çalışan güvenliği konusu ise yine sağlık hizmetlerinin sunumunda kalitenin arttırılması açısından önem verilmesi gereken konulardan biridir. Kişi çalıştığı kurumda, mesleki görevini yürütürken hastalığa neden olan faktörlerle karşı karşıya kalmaktadır. Sağlık personelinin gerekli sağlık hizmetlerini sunabilmesi, bunu yaparken kendini olası tehlikelerden koruyabilmesi çok önemlidir. Bunun içinde çalışan güvenliğinin öneminin hem bireyce hem de çalışılan kurum tarafından gerektiği şekilde dikkate alınması gerekmektedir. Sonuç olarak sağlık kurumlarında hasta ve çalışan güvenliği kültürünün geliştirilmesi girişimlerinin sağlık hizmetleri kalitesinin iyileştirilmesinde ilgi odağı haline gelmesi, hasta ve çalışan güvenliğinde istenen iyileştirmelerin, sağlık hizmetlerinde kültür değişimini gerektirdiği noktasından hareketle, hasta ve çalışan güvenliği kültürünün incelenmesi ve yapılacak olan uygulama çalışmasıyla bulguların desteklenmesi çalışmamızın konusunu oluşturmaktadır.
Today, we are confronting patient and personnel safety and adoption of the said concepts as part of the organizational culture in healthcare institutions as the most important element among the efforts to improve the quality in healthcare industry. Patient safety is the entire of set of measures taken by the healthcare institutions and the personnel in such institutions so as to prevent the damages to be caused by the healthcare services to the individuals. The purpose of patient safety is to ensure safety by creating such an environment that will positively affect the patient, hospital personnel and patient relatives in physical and psychological terms. Personnel safety is one of the matters which also should be placed importance on in provision of healthcare services for improvement of quality. The individual encounters such factors leading to disease while carrying out his/her professional duty. It is very important for the healthcare personnel to provide the necessary health services, and to protect himself/herself from hazards while doing this. To this end, personnel safety has to be properly considered by both the individual and the employer institution. In conclusion, the subject of our study comprises examining patient and personnel safety culture and supporting the findings with the practical study to be conducted starting from the point that the fact that the efforts to improve patient and personnel safety culture in healthcare institutions have become the focus of interest in improvement of the healthcare services and that the improvements sought in personnel safety require cultural transformation in healthcare services.
