Özet
İnsanoğlu çevresini tanımak anlamak için gözlerini kullanır. Ama bakışlar her zaman iyiye yönelik yada iyi etki bırakacak nitelikte olmamaktadır. Bazı bakışlar kişiyi ve nesneleri çeşitli şekillerde zarara uğratmaktadır. Zarara uğrandığını gören kişiler korunmak için çeşitli tedbirler alıp, koruyucular geliştirmişlerdir. Kötü bakıştan (kem gözden) korunmak için; gözünden zarar gelenden (nazarcıdan) uzak durmak, dua okumak, besinleri dua okuyarak tüketmek, kötü etkiyi bedenden temizlemek için yıkanmak, bilgili, yetkili kişi olan ocaklara başvurma yoluna gitmişlerdir. Kendi kendilerine yöntemler geliştirmişler, "Allah korusun" anlamında "Maşallah" ile söze başlama, tütsülenme, kurşun döktürme gibi yöntemleri uygulamışlardır. Ev, taşıt, hayvan ve bahçeleri korumak için koruyucu ağaç, paçavra, eski giysi, çalı, vb. dikip, tuz okuyup, tuz çevirip, süt dağlayıp el göz vb benzeri resimleri kullanma yoluna gitmişlerdir. İnsanlar kendilerini korumak, güvende hissetmek için muska, hamail, maskot ve nazarlık kullanarak hem korunmayı hem de süslenmeyi sağlamaktadırlar. Nazarlıklar, çeşitli göz boncukları, kolyeler, pandantifler, çeşitli yüzükler, bilezikler, halhallar, muskalar, hamailler, at nalı, çeşitli göz figürleri, el figürleri, fil vb. hayvan figürleri, vb. şekillerde insanlar ve eşyaları üzerinde kullanılarak koruma sağlanmaktadır. Evimize dışarıdan gelebilecek zararı kapı ve kilit önlüyorsa, hastalığı ilaçlar hastalanmadan önlüyor yada hastalanınca iyileştiriyorsa nazarlıklar da çeşitli figür ve güzellikleri ile insanları ve değer verdiklerini nazarın yıpratıcı ve Öldürücü etkisinden korumaktadır.
Mankind uses his eyes for understanding and knowing his environment. But the glances don't always have the feature of giving good effects or towards the good. Some looks cause different harms for people or things. People feeling that they had damages, have improved and developed various precautions to protect themselves. So as to be being protected from evil eye (kemgöz) people have chosen staying away from who has evil looks, praying, eating food by praying, to wash oneself so as to clear the bad effect from the body, applying fire place in which there are authoritative well informed people. They advanced methods by themselves such as "Maşallah" in the meaning of "Cod Bless You" before a sentence, casting a spell with incense, "kurşun döktürme" and followed them. In order to protect house, vehicle, animal and garden, they have chosen to sew the protective tree, rag, old clothing, brush etc. and to use praying salt, changing salt and burning milk.Due to the fact that being confidence and protecting themselves, people use amulet, "hamail", mascot, charm against the evil eye and get both defense and adoring. Amulatcs, different eye beads, necklaces, pendants, different eye rings, bracelets, "Halhal"s, written charms "Hamail"», horseshoe, different eye figures, elephant etc. animal figures etc. shapes arc used on people and things and make safe. If a door and lock prevent our homes from outside damages, if medicines prevent us before being sick or makes us better when we are ill, amulets that have different figure and beauties protect people and their dears from badly and fatal effects of the evil eye.
