Özet
Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk edebiyatının farklı tavrı ve duruşu ile -özellikle öyküde- dikkati çeken önemli isimlerinden birisi de Sevim Burak'tır. Hazırladığımız çalışmada bu farklı yazarın hayatı, eserleri ve sanatını birinci el kaynak ve şahıslara dayanarak ayrıntılı bir şekilde ele aldık. Yazarın Yanık Saraylar, Palyaço Ruşen, Afrika Dansı adlı öykü kitapları; Sahibinin Sesi, Everest My Lord, İşte Baş İşte Gövde İşte Kanatlar adlı tiyatroları; Ford Mach I isimli romanı ve oğluna yazdığı mektuplardan oluşan Mach I'dan Mektuplar isimli çalışmaları yazarın üzerinde durduğumuz eserleridir. Sonuç olarak çalışmamızda Sevim Burak'ın Türk edebiyatındaki yeri ve konumu değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır.
In Turkish Literature of Republic Period, especially in story, with her distinctive attitude and approach, one of the distinguished names who attracted attention is Sevim Burak. In the work I have studied on, I have examined the life, works and art of the writer in detail by depending on the primary person and sources. The writer?s story books named `Yanık Saraylar, Palyaço Ruşen, Afrika dansı?; her theatres named `Sahibinin Sesi, Everest My Lord, İşte Baş İşte Gövde İşte Kanatlar?; novel named Ford Mach I and work named Letters From Mach I which is composed of letters she wrote her son are the works of Sevim Burak that I?ve centered upon. In short, in my work the position and importance of Sevim Burak in Turkish Literature have been tried to be examined.
