| dc.description.abstract | Bir devletin yaptığı nüfus sayımları birçok veriyi ihtiva ettiğinden yöneticilerin geleceğe yönelik planlamalarında onlara yardımcı olur. Osmanlı Devletinde nüfus sayımlarının en önemli amacı asker ve vergi mükelleflerinin sayısının tespit edilmesi olmuştur. Bu amaçla belli bir dönem sadece erkek nüfus sayılmıştır. Osmanlı Devleti’nde ilk nüfus sayımı II. Mahmut zamanında yapılmıştır. Bu sayım yapılırken askere alım için Müslümanlar, vergilerinin sağlıklı toplanabilmesi için Müslüman ahali ile birlikte gayrimüslimler hakkında kayıtlar tutulmuştur. Tirebolu şehir merkezindeki gayrimüslimler hakkında yapılan bu çalışmayla Osmanlı Devleti’nin bir kazası olan Tirebolu’daki gayrimüslim unsura ait nüfus yapısı ve özelliklerinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Ayrıca bu çalışmada, 19. Yüzyılın ortalarında iskân ve nüfus çalışmalarının vazgeçilmez temel kaynaklarından olan nüfus defterleri esas alınmak suretiyle, Tirebolu’nun 1835 tarihindeki gayrimüslim nüfusu tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Tirebolu’daki gayrimüslim nüfusu incelediğimiz bu çalışmamızda Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi’nde bulunan H.1251(M.1835) tarih ve 1114 numaralı defter kullanılmıştır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Censuses conducted by a state help managers in planning for the future as it contains many data. The most important purpose of the census in the Ottoman State has been to determine the number of the troops and the taxpayers. For this purpose, only the male population was counted in a certain period. The first census in the Ottoman State has been made at II. Mahmoud time. For this census, while the recruitment records were kept only about Muslims, the proper tax collection reports were kept both about Muslim population and non-Muslims. In this study, which is made about non- Muslims living in Tirebolu city-centre, it was aimed to introduce the structure and properties of the non- Muslim population of Tirebolu which is a district of Ottoman State. Also in this study, 19. Century, isân and population studies of the population to be based on the basic sources of delve into, tried to determine a population history of the 1835 Tirebolu. In the study where we examined the non-Muslim population located in Tirebolu, the book belonging to the Prime Ministry Ottoman Archives dated as H.1251 (M.1835) and numbered as 1114 was used. | en_US |
