Three hundred and eight S. aureus strains isolated from specimens of urine, exudate and throat swabs were sent to the Microbiology Laboratory of Selcuk University School of Medicine and were examined for susceptibility to antimicrobial agents such as cefuroxime (CXM), ofloxacin (OFX), erythromycin (E), trimethoprim + sulfamethoxazole (SXT), ampicillin + sulbactam (SAM), lincomycin (L), amoxicillin + clavulanic acid (AMC), penicillin-G (P) and ampicillin (AM). The isolates of S. aureus were found to be susceptible to CXM, OFX, E, SXT, SAM, L, AMC, P and AM in the rates of 96.7%, 96.4%, 82.5%, 66.5%, 63.3%, 61.4%, 54.8%, 8.3%, 5.8% respectively.en_US
