Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil’in Kısa Öykülerinde Kadının Toplumsal Kimliğine Bakış

Özet
Bu çalışma Modern Türk edebiyatının öncü yazarlarından olan Halit Ziya’nın yazdığı kısa öykülere odaklanmıştır. Servet-i Fünun topluluğunun en önemli yazarı olan Halit Ziya aynı zamanda Modern Türk romancılığının da öncüsü kabul edilir. Edebiyatımızda daha çok romancı kimliği ile ön plana çıkmış olan yazarın öyküleri de en az romanları kadar önemlidir. Ancak yazarın öyküleri romanlarına nazaran arka planda kalmış, ihmal edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada yazarın kısa öykülerinden yola çıkılarak, kadının öykülerdeki toplumsal kimliği ve konumu irdelenmiştir. Yazarın öykülerinde kadın kimliğini bilinçli bir şekilde ön plana çıkardığı, onların yaşadıkları sorunları gerçekçi bir tarzda ele aldığı görülmektedir. Halit Ziya’nın kadın kimliğini ön plana çıkardığı öyküleri genellikle aile çevresinde oluşturulmuştur. Aldatma, mağdur edilme, ihmalkârlık, evlenememe, evlilik kaygısı, dışlanma, kimsesizlik, sakatlık, hastalık, erkeksizeşsiz kalma gibi durumlar ve bu durumların yarattığı sorunlar ve temalar çevresinde oluşturulmuş olan bu öykülerde kadına bakışta acıma ve şefkat duygusu ön plana çıkarılmıştır.
This work focuses on short stories written by Halit Ziya, one of the leading writers of modern Turkish literature. Halit Ziya, the most important writer of the Servet-i Fünun community, is also considered to be the pioneer of Modern Turkish novelism. The tales of Halit Ziya, who has been in the forefront of Turkish literature with his novelist identity, are at least as important as his novels. However, the writer's stories are behind the novels and are neglected. In this study, the social identities and positions of the female characters in the narratives have been examined from the short stories of the author. It seems that the writer consciously draws the female identity to the forefront and deals with the problems they experience in a realistic way. Halit Ziya's stories about women's identities are usually formed around the family. It has been created around deceptions, victimization, negligence, marriage, marital anxiety, exclusion, orphans, disability, illness, and the problems and themes created by these situations. In these stories women's sense of compassion and compassion was brought to the forefront.
