Özet
İnsanlık tarihinde haberleşme, oldukça eskiye dayanan bir iletişim biçimidir.
Haberleşme, insanlar için vazgeçilmez bir ihtiyaçtır. Bugüne gelene dek birçok evreden
geçen haberleşme araçları, günümüz teknolojisi ile birlikte hayatımızın her alanında
aktif rol oynamaktadır. Teknolojinin gelişmesi her alanı etkilediği gibi haberin ve
bilginin yayılma biçimini de etkilemiştir. Teknolojinin geldiği bu noktada bilgiye
ulaşmak kolay olduğundan, ulaşılabilen her bilginin doğruluğundan söz etmek oldukça
güçtür. Dijital medya platformlarının yoğun kullanımı, haberleşme sürecini ve biçimini
etkileyen faktörler olarak katlanarak artmaktadır. Haberin ana prensibi doğru (teyit
edilmiş gerçek bilgi) olmasıdır. Bu çalışmanın amacı; dijital medya platformlarında
yayınlanan yanlış bilgileri konu alarak, Türkiye’de çalışmalarını yürüten doğrulama
sitelerinin analiz ederek yalanladığı yanlış bilgileri inceleyip, bu yanlış bilgilerin hangi
yöntemler kullanılarak doğrulandığını gözlemlemek, yanlış bilgilerin farkına varılması
konusunda hassasiyet oluşmasına katkı sağlamak ve önerilerde bulunmaktır. Bilinçsiz
bir toplumda yayılan yanlış bilgilerin nasıl sorunlara yol açabileceğine ilişkin mevcut
sorunsal, doğrulama sitelerinde yanlış bilgi olduğu kanıtlanmış “elli yanlış bilgi”
örneği üzerinden incelenmiştir.
Çalışma kapsamında incelenen, doğrulama sitelerinin doğrulama
yöntemlerinden yola çıkarak bu sitelerin, topluma fayda sağlama ve toplumu
bilinçlendirme amacı ile kurulduğu görülmüştür. Yanlış bilginin fazla olması, doğru
bilgilere erişimi kısıtlamış, yanlış bilgilerin doğru bilgilere oranlaaltı kat daha hızlı ve
on kat daha fazla kişiye eriştiği aktarılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, yanlış bilgilerin dijital
medya ortamında hızla çoğalmasının ardından toplumun yararı için çalışmalarını
yürüten doğrulama sitelerinin “Kullandığı doğrulama yöntemleri nelerdir, hangi
yöntemler sıkça kullanılmıştır?” sorularına cevap aranmıştır. Sitelerin, söz konusu
haberleri doğrulamak için kullandıkları yöntemlerin başında “tersine görsel arama ve
anahtar kelimeleri kullanarak ana kaynağı görüntüleme” yöntemleri olduğu
saptanmıştır.
Communication is quite old in human history. Communication is an indispensable need for people, and communication tools, which have passed through many stages until today, are in every aspect of our lives thanks to today's technology. The development of technology has affected every field, as well as the way news is spread. Since it is easy to access information at this point where technology has come, it is very difficult to talk about the accuracy of every piece of information that can be accessed. Due to the intense use of digital media platforms, the factors affecting the communication process and form are increasing exponentially. The main principle of the news is accuracy (confirmed, real information). The aim of this study is to examine the debunked news articles analyzed by fact-checking websites operating in Turkey, focusing on false news published on digital media platforms. The study aims to observe the methods used to verify these false news articles, contribute to the awareness of recognizing false news, and provide recommendations. The existing problem regarding how false news spread in an unaware society can lead to issues will be examined through the analysis of "fifty made-up information" examples proven to be false on fact-checking websites.Based on the verification methods of the verification sites examined within the scope of the study, it was seen that these sites were established with the aim of providing benefits to society and raising public awareness. The abundance of misinformation has restricted access to correct information, and it has been determined that incorrect information reaches six times faster and ten times more people than correct information. In this study, after the rapid proliferation of false information in the digital media environment, verification sites that work for the benefit of society sought answers to the questions, "What are the verification methods used, which methods are frequently used?" It has been found that the main methods used by these sites to verify the mentioned news are "reverse visual search and viewing the main source using keywords."
