Özet

Soil properties are utilized to estimate serious and major effects on the grounds' structure. It isimportant that the physical, chemical, and engineering parameters employed for soil are influencedby the stresses in geo-technical engineering. The geo-technical analyses are necessary to figureout the soil characteristics. These analyses are used to design and model the constructions on theground. Index properties of soil samples from Baghdad city in Iraq were investigated within thescope of this study. Liquidity and plasticity limits increase with the rise in organic matter (OM)content in the soil. This study shows the existence of organic matters from 0% to 20% results inthe increase of compression index (1.6%), coefficient of consolidation (25.49%) and secondarycompression values (2.694%) in soil.
