Özet
Amaç: Çalışmada, kliniğimizde son beş yıl içinde takip ve tedavi edilen diffüz malign plevral mezotelyomalı olguların epidemiyolojik, klinik ve radyolojik bulgularının değerlendirilmesi amaçlandı. Yöntem: Selçuk Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Göğüs Hastalıkları Kliniğinde 1992-1997 yılları arasında takip ve tedavi edilen 26 diffüz malign plevral mezotelyomalı olgunun dosyaları retrospektif olarak incelendi. Epidemiyolojik bilgiler yaş, cinsiyet, meslek, yaşama yerleri, aktoprak temas özellikleri ve sigara alışkanlıkları belirlendi. Bulgular: 15 erkek, 11 kadın olgunun ortalama SS yaşı 59.3 12.6 (38-80) olup olguların büyük kısmı Konya’nın Ereğli bölgesindendi. 22 olgunun hikayesinde evlerinin ak toprakla badana yapıldığı öğrenildi. Olguların hiçbirisinde asbestle ilişkili meslek hikayesi yoktu. Sonuç: İç Anadolu Bölgesinden plevral efüzyon nedeniyle tetkik edilen olgularda malign plevral mezotelyoma akla gelmeli ve ak toprakla temas mutlaka sorgulanmalıdır.
