Özet
Things that human beings cannot realize in their lives are reflected in to their world of imagination and these things find places in the texts, such as epics, fairy tales, and folk tales. We can seethe doors opened when it is said "open my door, open!" in the past at every moment of our lives today. After this information, we wish to list the methods of treatment that we found out, in Turkish fairy tales and folk stories: a) Treatment with soil b) Treatment with water c) Treatment with a branch (loaf) of a tree d) Treatment with herbs (meadow, grass) e) Treatment by the application of the bird feather to the unseeing eye f) Treatment with blood g) Treatment as a result of praying h) Treatment by eating, drinking animal products or by being licked by an animal i) Treatment by wrapping the eyes with sea fish j) Treatment by the application of medicine made by fairy girls to the eyes As it is indicated above both religious and some mythological factors (soil, water, herb, a branch of a tree, feather, and blood, etc.) are effective in the treatment of the unseeing eye.
