| dc.description.abstract | Çalışmanın amacı Selçuk Üniversitesi öğrencilerinin sağlık hizmetlerinden yararlanma durumları ve etkileyen faktörlerin belirlenmesidir. Selçuk Üniversitesi'nde lisans düzeyinde öğrenim gören 23 900 öğrenci çalışmanın evrenini oluşturdu, örneklem büyüklüğü hesaplandığında 1600 öğrenciye ulaşılmasına karar verildi. Örneklemin tamamına ulaşıldı. Veri toplama aracı olarak 43 sorudan oluşan bir anket formu kullanıldı. Veriler ortalama, standart sapma ve yüzdelerle özetlendi. Kategorik verilerin karşılaştırılmasında ki kare testi kullanıldı. Ayrıca değişkenlerin birbiri üzerindeki etkilerinin değerlendirilmesinde logit model kullanıldı. Çalışmaya alınan öğrencilerin %55'i kadın ve %5,4'u 25 yaş ve üzerindeydi ve %82,9'u gelir düzeyini "orta" olarak ifade etti. Sosyal güvencesi olmayanların oranı %3,7, herhangi bir kronik hastalığa sahip olma oranı %3,4 olarak belirlendi. Öğrencilerin %60,8'i sadece ciddi bir hastalık durumunda sağlık kurumuna başvurduğunu, %55,7'si de sağlık hizmetlerinden yeterince yararlanamadığını düşündüğünü belirtti. Yararlanamama sebebi olarak hastane ortamının daha çok hasta etmesi ve beklemek istememe olduğu bulundu. Öğrenciler, acil ve acil olmayan durumlarda çoğunlukla devlet hastanelerini tercih ettiği ve bu seçimlerinde sosyal güvence ve yakınlık faktörünün etkili olduğunu ifade etti. Sağlık ile ilgili bilgi ve davranışları öğrenmeye en açık olunan, çoğunlukla genç nüfusun mevcut olduğu üniversitelerde yaşanan sağlık sorunları ve sağlık hizmetlerinin kullanımı, sağlık sektörüne güven duyulması ve sağlıklı bir gelecek için önemlidir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre gençlerin sağlık hizmetlerinden yeterince yararlanabilmeleri için gerekli düzenlemelerin yapılması gerektiği kanısına varıldı. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study is to reveal the factors that influence the students of Selçuk University in benefiting from the health services. The universe comprised 23 900 undergraduate students that study at Selçuk University and the sample size was 1600 students. A questionnaire that included 43 questions was used to collect data. Mean, standard deviation and percentage was used as descriptive statistics. Chi-square test was used to compare categorical data. Logit model was used to evaluate the impact of the factors over each other. 55% of the 1600 participants were male, 40.9% were 25 and above, and 82.9% had middle income levels. 3.7% did not have any social security, 3.4% had chronicle diseases. 60.8% of the students expressed that they went to health institutions in case of serious diseases whereas 55.7% of the students stated that they did not benefit from the health services adequately. The queues at the health institutions and the perceived contributions of the health institutions to getting sick were stated as the reasons behind the students' reluctance to benefit from the health services. The students mostly expressed that they preferred to use the state hospitals in case of emergencies or for regular visits and that their preferences were related with the factors of social insurance and proximity. Health problems of the university youth, which are more open to learning and changing their behaviors and the use of the health services are important for a healthy nation and the confidence to the health sector. The findings of this study imply that necessary measures should be taken in order to increase the use of healthservices by the university students. | en_US |
