Özet
İsauria Bölgesi, ana hatlarıyla, Kilikia Trakheia'nın İç Anadolu'ya bakan kuzey kesimlerine denk düşmektedir. İnsan yaşamı için oldukça zor doğa şartlarına rağmen ölü gömme gelenekleri bölgede çeşitlilik arz etmektedir. Yaptığımız çalışmalar sonucunda yedi ayrı grupta ele alınan ölü gömme gelenekleri en belirgin özellikleriyle kısaca ele alınmıştır.
Burial rituals which can be divided into eight different groups all around İsauria Region mostly composed of rock tombs. Rock tombs are common in the east of the region and the other types of tombs are common in the antique settlements around the capital. We think that this can be attributed to the fact that different types of tombs are preferred in different parts of the region and to the existence of Pisidia, Lykaonia, Pamphylia in the West and of mountainous Cilicia areas such as Olba and Diokaesarea in the East other than typographic effects.
