| dc.description.abstract | This study explores the impact of Francafrique policies on the European Union's external migration policy towards neighbouring regions, with a specific focus on the Kingdom of Morocco as a transit country. Morocco's strategic geographical location is crucial in this analysis, situated at the intersection of Africa and Europe. The study presents a historical evolution of the EU’s external migration policy starting from the Second World War and examines the policy from the perspective of the externalisation strategy within the framework of the remote control and root cause approaches. This thesis argues that Francafrique policies, characterized by historical, political, and economic ties between certain EU member states and their former African colonies, significantly influence the EU’s external migration policy. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışma, Fransafrik politikalarının Avrupa Birliği'nin (AB) komşu bölgelere yönelik dış göç politikasına olan etkisini incelemektedir, özellikle bir transit ülke olarak Fas Krallığı'na odaklanmaktadır. Fas'ın stratejik coğrafi konumu, bu analizde büyük öneme sahiptir, çünkü Afrika ile Avrupa'nın kesişim noktasında bulunmaktadır. Çalışma, İkinci Dünya Savaşı'ndan başlayarak AB'nin dış göç politikasının tarihî evrimini sunmaktadır ve dışsallaştırma stratejisi çerçevesinde uzaktan kontrol ve temel neden yaklaşımlarını ele almaktadır. Bu tez, belirli AB üye ülkeleri ile eski Afrika sömürgeleştirilmiş bölgeleri arasındaki tarihsel, siyasi ve ekonomik bağlarla karakterize edilen Francafrique politikalarının, AB'nin dış göç politikasını önemli ölçüde etkilediğini savunmaktadır. | en_US |
