Özet
Papilloflebit genç hastalarda görülen santral retinal ven tıkanıklığı olarak bilinmektedir. Genellikle tek taraflı optik diskte şişkinlik ile beraber peripapiller sahada atılmış pamuk manzarası ve hemorajilerle karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Otoimmün ve enflamatuvar birçok nedene bağlı olabileceğinden hastanın sistemik açıdan detaylı olarak incelenmesi gerekmektedir. Bu olgu sunumunda metilentetrahidrofolat redüktaz enziminde (C677T) polimorfizmine ikincil hiperhomosisteinemiye bağlı geliştiğini düşündüğümüz bilateral, eş zamanlı bir papilloflebit olgusu sunulmuştur
Papillophlebitis is known as central retinal vein occlusion seen in young patients. It usually presents as unilateral optic disc edema with cotton wool spots and hemorrhage in the peripapillary region. As it may be due to many autoimmune and inflammatory causes, a thorough systemic evaluation of the patient is warranted. In this case report we describe a bilateral, simultaneous papillophlebitis case thought to be related to hyperhomocysteinemia secondary to C677T polymorphism of methylenetetrahyrofolate reductase enzyme
