Abstract
Objective: The importance of Tl-201 myocard perfusion SPECT(MPS) imaging in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease was evaluated and significant difference between visual and quantitative analysis and istatistically significant correlation between quantitative values and percentage of coronary artery stenosis was inquired. Material and Methods: Sixty patients who were applied both coronary angiography and TI-201 MPS were included into study. SPECT imaging were assessed by visual and quantitative analysis. The sensitivity and specificity of SPECT were defined by assuming coronary angiography as"gold standart". It was compared that SPECT analysis methods each other and percentage of stenosis determined by selective coronar angiography and quantitative values. Results: There was no significant difference between visual and quantitative analysis in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease. There was istatistically significant correlation between percentage of coranary artery stenosis and quantitative values of extent (r= 0.657, p< 0.002) and severity (r= 0.684, p< 0.001). Conclusion: It is concluded that TI-201 MPS imaging has high sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease and there is no significant difference between visual and quantitative analysis. There is istatistically significant correlation between quantitative extent and severity values and percentage of coronary artery stenosis. Copyright © 2010 by Türkiye Klinikleri.
