dc.description.abstractThis thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the literature review. In the second chapter basic definitions and theorems are given. In the third chapter the helices and the slant helices that forms the foundations of these work are introduced and the relationships between the general helices and geodesics in 3-dimensional Euclidean space are given. Furthermore, some theorems and characterizations in order for a curve in Euclidean space to be a slant helix is introduced. The fourth chapter is about the principle direction curves, spherical representations of slant helices,rectifying slant helices and the helical relationships among two curves. One can find the results and the recommendations in the fifth chapter.en_US
dc.description.abstractBu çalışma beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölüm, giriş kısmına ayrılmıştır. İkinci bölümde, çalışma ile ilgili temel tanım ve teoremler verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, bu çalışmanın temelini oluşturan helisler ve slant helisler tanıtılmış, üç boyutlu Öklid uzayında genel helisler ve geodezikler arasındaki bağıntılar verilmiştir. Öklid uzayındaki eğrilerin slant helisler olması için bazı teorem ve karakterizasyonlara yer verilmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde; asal doğrultu eğrileri, slant helislerin küresel gösterimleri, rectifying slant helisler ve iki eğri arasındaki helis ilişkileri incelenmiştir. Beşinci bölüm ise, sonuç ve öneriler kısmına ayrılmıştır.en_US
