Abstract
Kalsinozis kutis epidermis altına çözünemeyen kalsiyum fosfat tuzlarının birikmesi ile oluşan na- dir bir hastalıktır. İdiopatik form metabolik hastalık veya doku hasarı olmadan ortaya çıkar. Tek şikâye- ti ilişki sırasında rahatsızlık hissi olan, 40 yaşında multipar hasta vulvar kitle şikâyeti ile başvurdu. Muayenede sol vulvar bölgede sarımsı renkte, ağ- rısız, yaklaşık 3x1 cm boyutlarında nodüler lezyon gözlendi. Kitle labium minör ile labium majus ara- sında lokalize, üzerinde yer yer beyaz pigmentas- yon olan, irregüler sınırlı, sert, fikse ve sapsız va- sıftaydı. Hastanın serum kalsiyum fosfat düzeyleri ve diğer bütün laboratuar testleri normal referans aralığındaydı. Genel anestezi altında lezyon total eksize edildi. Histopatolojik inceleme sonucu vulvar kalsinozis kutis olarak gelen hastanın daha sonraki 12 aylık takiplerinde rekürrens gözlenmedi.
Objective: CCalcinosis cutis is an uncommon entity defined as the deposition of amorphous calcium and phosphate salts under epidermis. Idiopathic calci- nosis cutis occurs in the absence of any metabolic disorder or tissue damage. A 40-year-old multipa- rous female presented with vulvar nodular masses with discomfort during intercourse only. Physical examination revealed a yellowish colored non-ten- der, pedunculated nodules measuring approxima- tely 3×1 cm in the left side of vulva. The mass loca- lized between labia minora and labia majora was solid, surfaced with the white pigmentation, irregu- lar, fixed and in sessile nature. Laboratory evaluati- on revealed normal serum calcium and phosphorus levels and all other laboratory values were within normal reference ranges. Total surgical excision of the mass was performed under general anesthesia. The histopathological diagnosis revealed a calcino- sis cutis of the vulva and no recurrence was detected 12 months after the initial treatment.
