Özet
Bu çalımada çeitli doymu ve doymamı alifatik aldehitlerle açil gruplu polistirenlerin kondensasyon reaksiyonunun incelenmesi ve yüksek fiziko-mekanik özelliklere sahip polimer materyallerin elde edilmesi amaçlanmıtır. Bu amaçla molekül kütlesi 230000 g/mol ve 350000 g/mol olan blok polistirenler hammadde olarak kullanılmı ve BF3 .O(C2H5)2 katalizörlüünde asetik anhidritle modifikasyon reaksiyonları gerçekletirilmitir. Sentezlenen açil (COCH3) gruplu polistirenlerin yapısındaki açil grubunun miktarı modifikasyon sırasında reaksiyon ortamında oluan asetik asidin titrasyonu ile tespit edilmitir. Ayrıca modifiye polistirenin yapısı IR-spektrometresi ile aydınlatılmıtır. Açil polistirenlerin; çekmede-kopmaya ve basmada-kırılmaya karı direnci, çekme anında nisbi uzaması, basınç uygulamakla kırılmaya karı sertlik gibi fiziko mekanik özellikleri incelenmitir. Elde edilen açil polistirenlerin; asetaldehit, krotonaldehit ve propiyonaldehit gibi doymu ve doymamı alifatik aldehitlerle kondensasyon reaksiyonları gerçekletirilmitir. Doymamı keton gruplu polistirenlerin yapısı IR-spektrometresi ile aydınlatılmıtır. Doymamı keton gruplu polistirenlerin metal yüzeyine adhezyon, agresif artlarda korozyona karı direnci ve ortalama molekül kütleleri tespit edilmitir.
In the present study, condensation reactions of various saturated and unsaturated aliphatic aldehydes with polystyrenes having acyl group were investigated and it is intended to obtain polymeric materials with high physicomechanical characteristics. Polystyrenes that molecular weights are 230000 g/mol and 350000 g/mol was used as starting materials and the modification reactions were carried out with acetic anhydride in the presence of BF3 .O(C2H5)2 as a catalyst. The acyl group number of the synthesized polystryrenes having acyl group was determined by means of titration of acetic acid formed during modification reaction. Also, the structures of modified polystyrenes were also confirmed by IR spectra. The physicochemical properties such as resistance of acyl polystyrenes to breaking off during pulling and to breaking during pressing, relative extension during pulling and hardness against breaking during putting pressure onto them were investigated. The obtained acyl polystyrenes were then reacted with saturated and unsaturated aliphatic aldehydes such as acetaldehyde, crotonaldehyde and propionaldehyde. The structures of unsaturated polystrenes having keton-group were confirmed by IR spectra. Adhesive properties of unsaturated polystyrene having keton-group onto metal surface, resistance of them to corrosion, and their molecular weights were determined.
