| dc.description.abstract | Toplumun en küçük birimi olan aile, sosyal hayattaki varlığıyla, şehrin yapısının şekillenmesinde önemli rol oynamaktadır. Bu çalışmada 1740-1830 yılları arasında aile ve sosyal hayat araştırılarak Antakya şehrini tanımayı amaçlamaktadır. Bölgesel bir çalışma olmasından dolayı araştırmanın başlıca kaynağını şer’iyye sicilleri oluşturmaktadır. Ayrıca konu ile ilgili yapılan diğer araştırmalardan da kaynak olarak yararlanılmıştır. Toplumu temsil eden bireylerin başvurduğu mahkemelerde, ailenin genel yapısı ve toplumdaki yerine dair konunun aydınlatılmasına yardımcı olacak kayıtlarına rastlanmaktadır. Bu kayıtlardan örnekler verilerek Antakya Kazası o dönemin şartlarında aile içi ve dışı bireylerin ilişkileri değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Antakya aile ve sosyal yaşamı konusunu aydınlatılması için şehrin coğrafyası ve ulaşım imkânları araştırılmıştır. Şehirdeki tahmini nüfus hesaplamaları ve tahmini nüfusun mahallelere dağılımı ile şehir, genel bir çerçevede verilmeye çalışılmıştır. Ailenin oluşum süreci olan, nişan, evlenme, mehir; ailenin dağılma süreci olan boşanma türleri; çok eşlilik durumu, ailenin yaşam alanı, kullanılan eşyalara dair örnekler verilerek açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca Müslümanlar ile gayrimüslimler arası ilişkiler ve toplumdaki suç ve suçlulara dair örneklerin mahkeme kayıtlarında rastlanılan belgeleriyle Antakya Kazası’nın aile ve sosyal hayatı belli bir ölçüde açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The family, the smallest unit of society, plays an important role in shaping the structure of the city with its presence in social life. In this study, it aims to get to know the city of Antakya by investigating family and social life between the years 1740-1830. Since it is a regional study, the main source of the research is the court records. In addition, other researches on the subject were also used as a source. In the courts applied by individuals representing the society, there are records that will help to shed light on the general structure of the family and its place in the society. By giving examples from these records, the relations of individuals within and outside the family were tried to be evaluated in the conditions of that period in Antakya District. In order to enlighten the subject of Antakya's family and social life, the city's geography and transportation opportunities have been researched. With the estimated population calculations in the city and the distribution of the estimated population to the neighborhoods, the city has been tried to be given in a general framework. Engagement, marriage, mahr, which is the formation process of the family; types of divorce, which is the process of disintegration of the family; The situation of polygamy, the living space of the family, and the items used are tried to be explained by giving examples. In addition, the family and social life of Antakya District has been tried to be explained to a certain extent with the documents found in the court records of the relations between Muslims and non-Muslims and examples of crimes and criminals in the society. | en_US |
