| dc.description.abstract | Anadolu coğrafyasına uzun süre hükmetmiş Hitit İmparatorluğunun yıkılmasının ardından doğan siyasi otorite boşluğu Anadolu topraklarını kargaşaya sürüklemiştir. Siyasi boşluk nedeni ile yerel krallıklar oluşmaya başlamış ancak güç dengelerinin kurulamaması burada yaşayan toplumların sosyo-ekonomik yaşantılarınıda derinden etkilemiştir. Bu sebeple Anadolu Demir Çağı uzun yıllar Karanlık Çağ olarak adlandırılmıştır. Son yıllarda yapılan çalışmalar ve gelişen teknolojiyle birlikte yapılan analizler sonucu aslında Anadolu Demir Çağının bir Karanlık Çağ olmadığı ve elde edilecek yeni buluntularla birlikte daha anlaşılır bir hale geleceği anlaşılmaktadır. Anadolu Demir Çağı kronolojisi halen tartışma konusudur. Bunun nedeni yapılan analizlere rağmen dönemin daha iyi anlaşılmasında eksikliklerin bulunmasıdır. Ayrıca Demir Çağı olarak adlandırılan ve en geniş haliyle yaklaşık 850 (MÖ 1190-330) yıllık zaman süresinde Anadolu coğrafyası birçok devlete ev sahipliği yapmış ve birçok kez istilaya uğramıştır. Bu nedenle elde edilen buluntuların çeşitliliği sonucu Anadolu Demir Çağı kronolojisinin oluşturulmasında karşılaştırmalı kronoloji hakimdir. Bu çalışmanın konusunu Karaman ve çevresinde kapsamlı bir kazı çalışması bulunmadığından müzeye satın alma, hibe ve müsadere yolları ile gelmiş olan Geç Demir Çağı seramiklerini tespit etmek ve çevrede yürütülen yüzey araştırmaları sonucunda elde edilen verilerle karşılaştırarak Demir Çağında Karaman ve çevresinin durumunu anlaşılmasına katkı sağlamaktır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The absence of authority emerging from the collapse of the Hittite Empire that ruled the Anatolian territory for a long time drove this land into turmoil. New kingdoms appeared due to the turmoil, but the failure of establishing balance of power had a profound impact on the socio-economic communities dwelling in this region. In this respect the Iron Age in Anatolia was called the Dark Age for quite a long time. However, with the analyses carried out through the developed technology and the recent studies, the Anatolian Iron Age was not actually a dark age and this misconception is expected to be cleared out via the new findings waiting to be gathered. The chronology of the Anatolian Iron Age is still a matter of dispute. The reason for this is the lack of knowledge in the understanding of this era despite all the analyses in this field. Besides, during the era dubbed Iron Age lasting for at most 850 years (between 1190 and 330 BC) The Anatolian region was home to several states and prone to invasions, making it impossible to make out an absolute chronology. As a result of the diversity of the findings, comparative chronology has been dominant in the formation of Anatolian Iron Age chronology. The aim of this study is to identify the ceramics descending from Late Iron Age that have been earned to Karaman Museum via purchase, donation or confiscation. In addition, it is aimed to contribute to the comprehension of the condition of Karaman and its surroundings during the Iron Age comparing the acquired data through surface exploration carried out in the neighbouring regions as there is no systematic excavation in Karaman and its surroundings with the ones in the museum. | en_US |
