| dc.description.abstract | Örgüt iklimi örgütsel alan yazının önemli kavramlarından biridir ve bu kavram okullarda okul iklimi olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Alan yazında ilköğretim ve lise düzeyindeki okullarda çok sayıda ölçek olmasına rağmen yükseköğretimdeki okullarda okul iklimini ölçen az sayıda ölçek ve bu konuda yapılmış az sayıda çalışma bulunmaktadır. Bu kapsamda bu çalışmada, yükseköğretim düzeyinde eğitim alan turizm fakültesi ve turizm meslek yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin okul iklimi ile ilgili algılarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Özellikle fakülte ve MYO düzeyindeki öğrencilerin okul iklimine yönelik algıları arasında fark olup olmaması çalışmanın hareket noktasını oluşturmuştur. Ayrıca demografik faktörlerin yükseköğretim düzeyinde okul iklimine yönelik algıları ne şekilde etkilediğinin belirlenmesi çalışmanın bir diğer araştırma amacını oluşturmaktadır. Literatürde turizm alanında farklı eğitim seviyelerinde yapılan az sayıda çalışma olduğundan, diğer çalışmalardan ayrılmaktadır. Araştırmada, yükseköğretim okullarındaki iklimi belirlemek üzere, Terzi (2015) tarafından geliştirilen Okul İklimi Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Üniversite öğrencilerine yönelik geliştirilen ölçek; okula bağlılık, iletişim ve öğrenme ortamı alt boyutlarından oluşmaktadır. Araştırma evrenini Çeşme Turizm Fakültesi ve Kartepe Turizm Meslek Yüksekokulu (MYO) öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada Turizm Fakültesi ve Turizm MYO öğrencilerinin okul iklimine yönelik algıları arasında farklılık olup olmadığını tespit etmek üzere t-testi ve ANOVA analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; yüksek öğrenim kurumu türüne, yaş gruplarına, mezun oldukları lise çeşidine ve mezun oldukları sınıfa göre anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuş, cinsiyete göre anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Organizational climate is one of the important concepts of the organizational literature and this concept is defined as school climate in schools. Although there are many scales to use in primary and high school schools, there are few scales measuring school climate in higher education institutions and few studies on this topic. Thus, this research aimed to explore perceptions of school climate among higher education students studying at the Faculty of Tourism and the Vocational School of Tourism. The starting point of the study was to find out whether there is a difference between the perceptions of students studying at the Faculty of Tourism and those at the Vocational School of Tourism. Additionally, another purpose of the research was to determine how demographics affect perceptions of school climate in higher education. This research differs from other studies because the tourism literature includes few studies on this topic conducted at different levels of education. The data were collected using the School Climate Scale that was developed by Terzi (2015) to explore school climate in higher education institutions. The scale developed for university students is composed of the following three subscales: commitment to school, communication, and learning environment. The research population consisted of students studying at Çeşme Faculty of Tourism and Kartepe Vocational School of Tourism. A t-test and ANOVA were used to determine whether there is a difference between the perceptions of students studying at the Faculty of Tourism and those at the Vocational School of Tourism. The analysis results showed significant differences between the students in terms of the type of the higher education institution, age groups, the type of the high school that they attended, and the year of study, while no significant difference was found in terms of gender. | en_US |
