Özet
The main objective of this study is to present entrepreneurial trends and structure of women entrepreneurs in rural areas and pull and push factors for entrepreneurship, to determine entrepreneurial trends, to present possible impeding factors in entrepreneurial activities and to offer suggestions to eliminate these factors. With the purpose of alleviating poverty and providing development in rural areas, one of the main target groups in entrepreneurial activities is women. One of the most significant signs in social development of a country is the increasing number of women entrepreneurs. However, women entrepreneurs encounter many problems due to gender, economic situation and environmental impacts. It may increase the rate of economic growth to alleviate and overcome the problems of women entrepreneurs. In this regard, it requires putting forward the politics and schemes that support women's entrepreneurship and women to realize their own power to fulfill their potential in economic and social life. The main material of this study consists of the data acquired via face-to-face questionnaire conducted among 100 rural women who have received training in entrepreneurship in the Derbent district of Konya province in Turkey. As a result, facilitating the access to the sources of credit, changing the value judgment on women, enabling women to participate in education just as men do and increasing the efficiency of mass media in training will encourage women and pave the way for them to realize their characteristics of entrepreneurship.
