| dc.description.abstract | Karaman ilinin sınırları içinde kalan Karadağ, dört farklı volkanik evreden oluşan sönmüş bir volkanik dağ kütlesidir. Etrafındaki düzlüklerden belirgin bir şekilde aniden yükselen Karadağ, bölgeye hâkim bir konumdadır. Karadağ jeolojik, jeomorfolojik, iklim ve bitki örtüsü bakımından çeşitlilik göstermektedir. Bu çeşitliliği sayesinde Karadağ çevresi tarihin en eski dönemlerin bu yana insanların yerleşim için tercih ettiği bir bölge olmuştur. Karadağ’ın eteklerinde tarih öncesine ait çok sayıda höyük tespit edilmiş olup, özellikle Tunç Çağı’nda bu yerleşimlerin sayısında bir artışın yaşandığı gözlemlenmektedir. Çalışmamızda, Karadağ çevresindeki Tunç Çağı höyüklerinin özellikleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Karadağ ve çevresinde yer alan höyükler ile ilgili olarak daha önce yapılan çalışmalar bulunmaktadır. Fakat yapılan çalışmalarda Karadağ ve yerleşimler ayrı konular olarak incelenmiştir. Çalışmalar daha çok yüzey araştırmaları ve Karadağ’ın tek başına konu edinilmesinden oluşmaktadır. Höyüklerin bu çevrede kurulmasında ve yoğunlaşmasında Karadağ’ın etken bir unsur olması gerekmektedir. Çalışmamızdaki amaç da höyüklerin bu bölgede kurulmasında ve yoğunluk olarak dağın eteklerinde bulunmasında, Karadağ’ın sağladığı imkânları ve yerleşimlerin seçilmesinde oynadığı rolü ortaya koymaktır. Yine Karadağ çevresindeki Tunç Çağı yerleşimlerinin kültürel gelişim ve önemine dikkat çekerek, bölgenin tarihsel sürecine katkıda bulunmaktır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Located within the borders of Karaman province, Karadağ is an extinct volcanic mountain mass consisting of four different volcanic phases. Rising abruptly from the plains around it, Karadağ dominates the region. Karadağ shows diversity in terms of geology, geomorphology, climate and vegetation. Thanks to this diversity, the area around Karadağ has been a region preferred by people for settlement since the earliest periods of history. Many prehistoric mounds have been identified on the outskirts of Karadağ, and it is observed that there was an increase in the number of these settlements, especially during the Bronze Age. In our study, the characteristics of the Bronze Age mounds around Karadağ were emphasized. There are previous studies on the mounds in and around Karadağ. However, in the studies, Karadağ and the settlements were examined as separate subjects. The studies mostly consist of surveys and the subject of Karadağ alone. Karadağ should have been an active factor in the establishment and concentration of the mounds in this environment. The aim of our study is to reveal the opportunities provided by Karadağ and the role played by Karadağ in the establishment of the mounds in this region and the fact that they are mostly located at the foot of the mountain. It is also to contribute to the historical process of the region by drawing attention to the cultural development and importance of the Bronze Age settlements around Karadağ. | en_US |
