Özet
Turizm ekonomik ve sosyal yönlerden ülkeler için giderek önemi daha da artan sektör durumuna gelmektedir. Denize girmek, boş zaman geçirmek vb. gibi faktörlerle ön plana çıkan turizm günümüzde daha çok sağlık bakımından yapılan gezi ve tatil olarak ön plana çıkmaktadır. İkamet edilen yerden başka bir yere (yurtiçi veya yurtdışı) herhangi bir sağlık sebebiyle tedavi amaçlı yapılan seyahatler olarak ifade edilen sağlık turizmi, ekonomik ve sosyal yönlerden ülkeler için giderek önemi daha da artan bir sektör durumuna gelmektedir. Bu bağlamda dünyadaki gelişmelere bağlı olarak Türkiye, gerek coğrafi yapısı, iklimi, doğal zenginlikleri ve gerekse göreceli olarak ucuz ve kaliteli sağlık hizmetleri ile pek çok ülke vatandaşının dikkatini çekmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı; sağlık turizmi hakkında bilgi vermek ve Türkiye sağlık turizminin dünya sağlık turizmi içindeki yerini ortaya koymak ve tehdit ve fırsatlar bağlamında Türkiye açısından sağlık turizmi için bir durum değerlendirmesi yapmaktır.
Tourism is becoming more important for countries in the economic and social aspects. Tourism is coming fore as swimming and spending leisure time. But today tourism is coming fore as health care trips and vacations. Health tourism that expressed as travels interurban or intercountry with the aiming of treatment and leisure started to become an important revenue generation tool for the world countries. Turkey draws attention of many foreign citizens in terms of its geographical structure, climate, natural riches and relatively cheap and high quality health care services. The aim of this study is to inform about health tourism and reveal Turkey’s health tourism location in the world health tourism and an assesment for turkey in the context of threats and opportunities.
