| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışma beş Potentilla taksonundan (P. anatolica, P. argentea, P. recta, P. reptans, P. speciosa) elde edilen farklı çözücü özütlerinin antioksidan özellikleri ve fitokimyasal profillerini değerlendirmek için tasarlanmıştır. Fitokimyasal profil (toplam fenolik, flavonoid, saponin ve triterpenoid içerik) spektrofotometrik metotlar tarafından değerlendirildi. Özütlerin antioksidan özellikleri serbest radikal süpürme (DPPH ve ABTS), indirgeme gücü (FRAP and CUPRAC), metal şelatlama aktivitesi ve fosfomolibdat testleri kullanılarak değerlendirildi. Fitokimyasal ve antioksidan özellikleri üzerine çözücü etkisi araştırıldı. Sonuçlar çözücülerin (etil asetat, metanol ve su) fitokimyasal profil ve antioksidan özellikleri üzerine farklı etkilere sahip olduğunu göstermiştir. Antioksidan deneylerinin sonuçları Potentilla özütlerinin güçlü antioksidan aktivite sergilediğini ki bu da yüksek fitokimyasal içerikle ilişkili olabileceğini göstermiştir. Su özütleri en yüksek toplam fenolik içeriğe sahiptir. Ayrıca, su özütleri etil asetat ve metanol özütleri ile karşılaştırıldığında daha yüksek indirgeme gücü ve metal şelatlama aktivitesi göstermiştir. Bu çalışmanın bulguları Potentilla özütlerinin farmasötik ve nutrasötik amaçlar için umut verici kaynaklar olarak kullanılabileceğini vurgulamıştır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | This study was designed to evaluate the antioxidant properties and phytochemical profiles of the different solvent extracts (ethyl acetate, methanol and water) obtained from five Potentilla taxa (P. anatolica, P. argentea, P. recta, P. reptans, P. speciosa). The phytochemical profile (total phenolic, flavonoid, saponin, and triterpenoid content) was evaluated by spectrophotometric methods. The antioxidant properties of extracts were also assessed by using free radical scavenging (DPPH and ABTS assays), reducing power (FRAP and CUPRAC assays), metal chelating activity and phosphomolybdenum assays. The effects of solvents were studied on phytochemical profile and antioxidant properties. The results indicated that the solvents (ethyl acetate, methanol and water) had different effects on phytochemical profile and antioxidant properties. The results of antioxidant assays showed that Potentilla extracts displayed higher antioxidant activity, which could be related to highest phytochemical content. Water extracts contained highest total phenolic content. Furthermore, water extracts showed higher reducing power and metal chelating activity compared with ethyl acetate and methanol extracts. The findings of the this study highlight that Potentilla extracts could used be as promising sources for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical purpose. | en_US |
