Özet
Hz. Peygamber'in torunları Hz. Hasan ve Hz. Hüseyin soyundan gelen seyyid ve şerîflere, Abbasiler'in ilk döneminde toplum ve idareciler tarafından büyük bir değer verilmiştir. Onların içinde dindar ve alim kişiler bulunması bunda etkili olmuştur. Bununla birlikte Hz. Peygamber'in soyundan geldiği halde dini açıdan olumsuz işler yapanlar da bulunmuştur. Hz. Hasan soyundan gelenlerden bazıları Abbasiler'e karşı ayaklanmıştır. Hz. Hüseyin soyundan gelenler ise siyasetten uzak kalmışlardır. Onların eş ve çocuk sayıları kaynaklarda farklıdır. Daha çok grup içi evlilikler görülmektedir. Onların farklı gelir kaynakları mevcuttu. Onların fakirlere büyük miktarda yardım yaptıklarına dair rivayetler vardır. Onların içinde dini ilimlerde alim kişiler vardı. Diğer ilim dallarında özellikle şiir ve edebiyat alanında öne çıkanlar görülmektedir.
Sayyids and sharifs which were grandchildren of Prophet?s descentdants, Hasan and Husain had been respected a lot by the Islamic society and governors in the early Abbasid period. Being religious and scholars people inside of them affected this situation. Nevertheless some of them did some bad actions. Some people of Hasan?s descendants rebelled against Abbasids. Therefore Husain?s descentdants stayed apart of politics. The number of their wives and children are very different in the Islamic history sources. Marriages had mostly been seen inside of group. They had different earnings. There are narrates that they helped for poor people in large scale. There were scholars in sciences of theology inside of them. Also some of them were famous in other sciences, particularly in poetry and literature.
