Özet
İletişimsel, sosyal ve kültürel boyutuyla öne çıkan yemek, barındırdığı gösterge ve temsillerle sinema için değerli bir unsur haline gelmiştir. Dolayısıyla toplumsal temsiller barındıran yemek ve sinemanın bir arada incelenmesi, bireyin kimlik inşa ve değişim sürecinde yemek göstergesinin işlevinin anlaşılmasını kolaylaştıracaktır. Bu çalışma, yemek, açlık ve çevresel faktörlerin bireyin kimliğinde oluşturacağı değişim ve etkileri analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Yemeği merkeze alan Platform (The Platform, Galder, Gaztelu-Urrutia, 2019), 1 filminin ana karakteri olan Goreng (Iván Massagué)’in film boyunca hem kendisi hem de diğer karakterlerle olan ilişkisine odaklanan çalışmada, karakterin kimlik yolculuğunun Albert Bandura’nın sosyal öğrenme kuramı bağlamında analiz edilerek açıklanması ve kimliksel değişimlerin gözlemlendiği sahnelerin içeriksel bağlamda çözümlenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Bu hedef doğrultusunda çalışmada, filmin ana karakteri Goreng’in kimliksel yolculuğunun film boyunca çeşitli katmanlardan geçtiği görülmüştür. Erdemli ve ahlaklı bir kimlikten bencil bir kimliğe, daha sonra ise öze dönüş gerçekleştirilerek başkalarının kurtuluşu adına fedakarlıkta bulunulmuştur. Sosyal öğrenme kuramı ilkelerinin ise karakterin kimliksel yolculuğunda ve özellikle hayatta kalmasında rehberlik ettiği tespit edilmiştir.
Food, which stands out with its communicative, social, and cultural dimensions, has become a valuable element for cinema with its indicators and representations. Therefore, examining food and cinema together, which contain social representations, will facilitate the understanding of the function of the food indicator in the process of identity construction and change of the individual. This study aims to analyze the changes and effects of food, hunger, and environmental factors on the identity of the individual. Focusing on the relationship between Goreng (Iván Massagué), the main character of The Platform (Galder, GazteluUrrutia, 2019) film, which focuses on food, both with himself and with other characters throughout the film, the study aims to analyze the identity journey of the character in the context of Albert Bandura's social learning theory. It is aimed to analyze and explain in the context of theory and to analyze the scenes in which identity changes are observed in context. It has been seen that the identity journey of Goreng, passes through various layers. From a virtuous and moral identity to a selfish identity, to an identity that is self-sacrificing for the salvation of others. It has been determined that social learning principles guide the character's identity journey and especially survival.
