Abstract
Edinsel von-Willebrand sendromu (EvWS) daha önce hemostatik açıdan tümüyle normal olan kişilerde ortaya çıkan bir hastalıktır. Etyolojide önemli olan hastalıklardan birisi olarak hipotiroidi belirtilmektedir. Biz çalışmamızda hipotroidi tanısı almış 18 hastada von Willebrand faktör düzeyini inceleyerek sağlıklı kişilerle karşılaştırdık. Hipo-tiroidili hastalarda von Willebrand düzeyinin anlamlı olarak daha düşük olduğunu tespit ettik (p 0.05). Hipotiroidi tanısı konulmuş bütün olgularda EvWS'u olabileceği bu hastalara biyopsi uygulamaları öncesinde mutlaka düşünülmelidir.

We measured the von Willebrand factor levels of 18 patients with hypothyroidism and compared to that of healthy ones. We found that von Willebrand levels were significantly low in patients with hypothyro¬idism (p < 0.05). Presence of AvWS should be considered in all patients with hypothyroidism before biopsy.
