Özet
Modernizm sonrası olarak isimlendirilen postmodern dönem, sanat ve tasarım
dahil olmak üzere sosyal bilimler içerisinde birçok alanı farklı biçimlerde etkilemiştir.
Postmodernizm teriminin kullanılmaya başlandığı 60’lı yıllardan bugüne, güzel
sanatlar içerisinde ve grafik tasarım alanında öne çıkmaktadır. Grafik tasarım için
tipografi önemli tasarım ve ifade araçlarından bir tanesidir. Grafik tasarımda yazının
tasarlanmış bir içerikle birlikte değerlendirilmesi tipografik unsurları oluşturan en
önemli kurallardan bir tanesidir. Bu kuralla beraber tasarımcıdan beklenen şey;
tipografik unsurların “daha özgün ve yaratıcı” bir dilde ele alınmasıdır. Günümüzdeki
teknolojik ilerlemeler, sosyal gelişimler zaman ilerledikçe yaşantımıza olumlu etkiler
sağlamaktadır. Etkileşimli dünyanın 21. yüzyıldaki ileri seviyesi ve teknolojik
gelişmeler sanatçıların deneyselliklerine bağlı kalarak özgür ve bağımsız bir ifadeyle
üretmelerine fırsat sağlamaktadır. Teknolojideki tüm bu gelişmeler Deneysel
Tipografi sürecine bir zemin hazırlamaktadır. Deneysel tipografi, geleneksel tasarım
kalıplarının dışında, keşfetmeye ve yoruma bağlı, yeni görsel anlatım biçimleri
aramaya yönelik bir pratik olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu araştırmada postmodernizin gelişim süreci ve tipografiye yaptığı katkılar nitel araştırma yöntemleri
kullanılarak aktarılmaya çalışılmıştır.
The postmodern period, which is called post-modernism, has affected many fields in social sciences, including art and design, in different ways. Since the 60s, when the term postmodernism began to be used, it has come to the fore in fine arts and graphic design. Typography is one of the important design and expression tools for graphic design. Evaluating the text with a designed content in graphic design is one of the most important rules that make up the typographic elements. With this rule, what is expected from the designer; is the handling of typographic elements in a “more original and creative” language. Today's technological advances and social developments provide positive effects on our lives as time progresses. The advanced level of the interactive world and technological developments in the 21st century provide the opportunity for artists to produce freely and independently, adhering to their experimentation. All these developments in technology lay the groundwork for the Experimental Typography process. Experimental typography emerges as a practice to seek new forms of visual expression based on exploration and interpretation, apart from traditional design patterns. In this research, the development process of postmodernism and its contributions to typography have been tried to be conveyed by using qualitative research methods.
