Özet
Bu çalışma; Ali Fethi Bey tarafından 12 Ağustos 1930’de kurulan ve17 Kasım 1930’da kendini fesheden Serbest Cumhuriyet Fırkanın Konyamerkez teşkilatlanması, 1930 Konyası’nın sosyal, ekonomik ve siyasigörünümü ile Konya’da 1930 belediye seçimlerinin yansımalarını ortayakoymayı amaçlamaktadır. Kuruluşundan kısa süre sonra bir kitle partisihaline gelen Serbest Fırka, katıldığı ilk yerel seçimlerde Cumhuriyet HalkFırkasına karşı mutlak bir başarı kazanamasa da aldığı oy oranıyla, iktidarpartisinin kendisini sorgulamasına vesile oldu. Partiye ilgi, ülkenin birçokyerinde olduğu gibi Konya’da da önemli bir seviyeye ulaşmıştır. Gerek builginin anlaşılması gerekse Serbest Cumhuriyet Fıkralıların Konya’dakiseçimlerde baskı ve usulsüzlük yapıldığı iddiaları çalışmanın başlangıçnoktasını teşkil eder.
This study aims to reveal Konya central organization of LiberalRepublican Party, which was established on August 12, 1930 by Ali FethiBey and repealed itself on November 17, 1930, as well as the social,economic and political view of Konya in 1930’s and reflections of the 1930municipal elections in Konya. Although the Liberal Republican Party,which became a massparty in a short time, could not gain a certain victory against the Republican People’s Party, the vote rate it gained contributedthe government party to question itself. Interest of the people in the newparty reached an important level in Konya just as in many other citiesof the country. Both this interest and the claims on oppressions andirregularities of Liberal Republican Party in municipal elections in Konyahave importance as a starting point for this study.
