In this study, the electronic part of a flight data recorder that can be used in single-engine small airplanes has been designed. In the study, FDR (Flight Data Recorder) was provided to record the data in real time. A flight was simulated from the training set and data was taken and compressed and recorded with Raspberry Pi. In order to be able to analyze and compare the recorded data, the data are shown in graphs according to different flight phases. A program was created in C++ programming language using Qt Framework in order to display the data in graphic form. Among the recorded data are roll, pitch, yaw movements, air velocity, altitude, temperature information, as well as AC1 BUS AC2 BUS DC1 BUS, DC2 BUS, AC ESS BUS and DC ESS BUS values. For the last 25 hours, FDR keeps track of more than ninety parameters such as clock, altitude, speed, direction, wing angle, which constantly change during flight. According to the recording from FDR, a model of the flight can be revealed and possible accident causes can be examined in more detail. Although the purpose of the device is to record abnormal events that occur on the aircraft in accident and crash situations, it also provides operators with a data source to improve flight performance, reduce fuel consumption, and identify if there is a mistake made by flight personnel. FDR has the ability to show its underwater position for up to 30 days, which is activated if it falls into the sea, lake or ocean, and it also has the ability to stay intact under 1100 degrees Celsius for thirty minutes. The "pinger" signal emitted at a frequency of 37.5 KHz enables the location of the crashed aircraft to be determined even at a depth of 14,000 feet (approximately 4300 meters). As a result, in this study, unlike the studies conducted in our country, the electronic part of a FDR was designed by recording data from a real-time source. We believe that the study will contribute to the production of FDR in our country.
