The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of reaction training on quickness. 45 athletes who take part in the Taekwondo sports branch at Selçuklu Municipality Sports Club voluntarily participated in the research. The mean age of the participants in the control group was 12.33 ± 1.175 years, the mean age of the BRA group was 12.73 ± 1.280 years, and the mean age of the KRA group was 13.27 ± 1.335 years. Among the subjects participating in the study, the mean height of the control group was 154.80 ± 9.198 cm, the mean height of the BRA group was 161.87 ± 8.193 cm, and the mean height of the KRA group was 159.73 ± 8.276 cm. In addition, the mean body weight of the control group was 48.73 ± 14,215 kg, the mean body weight of the BRA group was 53.00 ± 10±941 kg, and the mean body weight of the KRA group was 51.87 ± 12,141. Reaction training program; It started with 10-minute standing warm-up exercises, followed by reaction exercise series, and then the program was completed by applying stretching movements for 5 minutes. Appropriate rest intervals between sets were given for each participant. The 5 m sprint test was applied to both groups as pretest and post-test. There was no statistically significant difference between the reaction times of the athletes participating in the study when compared to the pre-test and post-test reaction times of the control group (p>0.05). On the other hand, a statistically significant difference was found in the comparison of the pre-test and post-test reaction times of the complex reaction training group and the simple reaction training groups (p<0.05). In these comparisons, it was seen that both the pre-test value for the complex reaction training group and the pre-test value for the simple reaction training group were higher than the post-test values. As a result, it is thought that simple and complex reaction trainings have a positive effect on quickness, and it can be said that reaction training improves quickness.
