Özet
Trafik kazaları ülkemizdeki ve dünyadaki ölümlerde ilk sıraları almaktadır. Bu kazalar can kaybına yol açtığı gibi aynı zamanda birçok kişinin sakat kalmasına neden olmaktadır. Ayrıca ülke ekonomisine de hatırı sayılır bir maddi kayıp meydana getirmektedir. Bahsedilen bu sorunların çözümü için oluşan trafik kazalarının azaltılması gerekmektedir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda bu tez çalışmasında Konya şehiriçinde meydana gelen trafik kazalarının azaltılması için bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın ilk aşamasında Konya şehiriçinde 2004 ve 2005 yıllarında meydana gelen trafik kaza istatistikleri analiz edilmiştir. İkinci aşamasında ise Konya halkının şehir trafiğine ve trafik kurallarına bakış açısını belirlemek için bir anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Daha sonra Konya şehiriçinde en çok kaza olan ilk 10 bölge tespit edilerek bu bölgelerde neden fazla kaza olduğunu belirlemek için bir takım analiz ve gözlemler yapılmıştır. Bu verilere göre de bu bölgelerde oluşan trafik kazalarını en aza indirebilmek için yapılması gereken tespitler sunulmuştur. Son olarak da elde edilen veriler yorumlanarak Konya şehiriçinde meydana gelen kazaların azaltılması yönünde neler yapılabileceği konusunda değerlendirmeler ve öneriler verilmiştir.
Traffic accidents take place in the first lines in our country and on the world. These accidents cause a lot of dead and fatalities. Also, it causes serious loss money to country economy. It is necessary to decrease traffic accidents to solve these problems. For this purpose, a study had been made in Konya city centre to decrease the traffic accidents. In the first part of the study, traffic accident statistics in Konya city centre 2004 and 2005 had been analysed. In the second part of the study, a survey study had been made to determine the ideas of people in Konya about city traffic and traffic rules. Later, the 10 zones where the most accident occurred were determined, some analysis and observations had been done at these zones for the reasons of occurring so many accidents. According to these data, necessary results had been presented for decreasing the accidents. At last, the datas had been explained; evaluations and suggestions had been made about what we can do for decreasing the accidents in Konya city centre.
