Abstract
Bu makalede Atatürk ve Cumhuriyet dönemindeki orta öğretim alanında yapılan çalışmalar ele alınmıştır. Kuşkusuz cumhuriyet dönemi eğitimi ve bu kapsamda orta öğretim’de, Atatürk’ün görüş ve çalışmaları doğrultusunda şekillenmiştir. İkinci olarak başta Tevhid-i tedrisat kanunu olmak üzere, heyet-i ilmiye toplantılarında ve milli eğitim şuralarında yapılan konu ile ilgili çalışmalara değinilmiştir. Buralardaki faaliyetlere değinildikten sonra, orta öğretim alanında yapılan çalışmalar günümüze kadar getirilmiştir. Çalışmamızda ele alınan bir diğer konu ise, orta öğretime öğretmen yetiştirme problemi olmuştur. Bu çerçevede, Atatürk’ün öğretmenlik mesleği ile ilgili görüşleri ve orta öğretim kademesinde açılan okullar, günümüze kadar gelen süreçte incelenmeye çalışılmıştır.
In this article, the works that were carried out in the secondary school area of the Atatürk and Republic era will be considered. Certainly, the education of republic era and secondary school in this extent were shaped with the opinions and works of Atatürk. Secondly, law of unity of education (Tevhid-i Tedrisat) and the works that were done about this subject during the committee of science (Heyet-i ilmiye) meetings and national education councils have been considered. After mentioning these activities, the works that were done in the secondary education area have been brought today. One of the other subjects of our article is the problem of educating teachers for the secondary education. In this frame, the view of Atatürk about being a teacher, the schools that were opened in the secondary education level have been researched in this period until today.
