| dc.description.abstract | Daha önceki tarihlerde çeşitli girişimler bulunmakla birlikte Osmanlı Devleti’nin son dönemlerinde, Sultan II. Abdulhamit devrinde hayata geçirilebilmiş Konya Ovası Sulama Projesi, memleket açısından hem bir ilki oluşturması hem de bölgenin sellerin ve kuraklıkların etkilerinden kurtulması açısından oldukça önem taşımaktadır. Söz konusu bu proje ile Beyşehir Gölü’nden Seydişehir (Karaviran / Suğla) Gölü’ne kadar akan suların kaybolmasının önüne geçilmesi ve çeşitli kanallar ve köprüler yapılmak suretiyle yönü değiştirilen sularla Konya Ovası’nın sulanması amaçlanmıştır. Böylece suya şiddetle ihtiyacı olan Konya Ovası suya kavuşacak; Seydişehir Gölü’nün bataklığa çevirdiği arazi kurutulacak ve nihayetinde binlerce dönümlük arazi ekilebilir hale getirilecekti. Bu tez çalışmasında, bölgede Konya Ovası Sulama Projesi’nin ortaya çıkmasını sağlayan şartlar, gerçekleştirilmesine dair ilk çabalar, işletilmesine kadar geçirdiği safhalar ile projenin tamamlanmasında ihtiyaç duyulan maddî ihtiyaçlar, meydana gelen sosyal etkiler, projeden beklenti ve talepler ile projeden kaynaklanan sorunlar ele alınmıştır. Neticede bu çalışma, bugün bir tahıl ambarı olarak görülen Konya Ovası’nın bu niteliğini nasıl kazandığına odaklanmakta ve bu yöndeki sorulara Konya Ovası Sulama Projesi üzerinde cevap aramaktadır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Although there were various initiatives in the previous dates, the Konya Plain Irrigation Project, which was implemented during the reign of Sultan II. Abdulhamid in the last periods of the Ottoman Empire, is very important for the country both in terms of creating a first and in getting rid of the effects of floods and droughts in the region. With this project, it is aimed to prevent the loss of water flowing from Beyşehir Lake to Seydişehir (Karaviran / Suğla) Lake and to irrigate the Konya Plain with diverted waters by constructing various channels and bridges. Thus, the Konya Plain, which desperately needs water, will have water; The land turned into a swamp by Seydişehir Lake would be dried and eventually thousands of acres of land would be made arable. In this thesis, the conditions that led to the emergence of the Konya Plain Irrigation Project in the region, the first efforts for its realization, the stages it went through until its operation, the material needs needed for the completion of the project, the social effects that occurred, the expectations and demands from the project, and the problems arising from the project were discussed. As a result, this study focuses on how the Konya Plain, which is seen as a granary today, gained this quality and seeks answers to these questions on the Konya Plain Irrigation Project. | en_US |
