dc.description.abstractThere are types of wind turbines such as Multi-rotor, Three bladed turbines and Multi-bladed farm windmill; each has different features which requires a multi criteria decision making (MCDM) method to be employed. Besides, because of the nature of the assessment, linguistic terms are utilized for the criteria values. These terms are represented by picture fuzzy sets in this paper to handle the impreciseness and vagueness in the linguistic assessments. Interval-valued picture fuzzy TOPSIS has been used to determine the optimum wind turbine alternative. IVPFSs based TOPSIS method has been used for the first time in this study for wind turbine selection. The paper has been concluded with finding and future research suggestions.en_US
