| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışmada harf inkılabının asıl sebepleri üzerinde durulmuş ve harf inkılabının etkileri incelenmiştir. Türkler çeşitli nedenlerden dolayı tarih boyunca faklı alfabeler kullanmışlardır. Bunlardan Arap alfabesi, Türklerin en uzun süreli kullandığı alfabe olmuş ve cumhuriyetin ilk yıllarına kadar kullanılmıştır. Osmanlı Devleti'nde alfabe ile ilgili tartışmalar devletin ve aydınların batıya açıldığı ve modernleşme çabalarının yaşandığı Tanzimat döneminde başlamıştır. Bu çalışmalar ise genellikle harflerin ıslah edilmesi yönünde gelişmiştir. Cumhuriyet döneminde eski yazının zor olduğu ve hedefini modernleşme olarak belirlemiş devlet için sorun oluşturduğu ileri sürülmüş, çeşitli tartışmalarla yeni harflere geçilmiştir. Tez çalışmasında, ilk önce Türklerin kullandıkları harfler incelenmiş. Daha sonra Tanzimat, Meşrutiyet ve Cumhuriyetin ilk yıllarında harflerin değiştirilmesine dair gelişmeler ortaya konulmuştur. Bu yapılırken Türk modernleşmesine de değinilmiş. Yeni harflerin eğitime ve toplumun bilgiye ulaşmasına yaptığı etkiler istatistiklerle verilmiş. Ayrıca harf inkılabının kamusal, ekonomik ve günlük hayata etkileri de incelenmiştir. Yeni harflerin bilindiğinin aksine günümüze kadar etkileri sürecek bir takım gelişmelere sebep olduğuna vurgu yapılmıştır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | In this study, we emphasized the main reasons of Turkish revolution on he language/alphabet and its effects . Turks used many different alphabets for their language due to various reasons. The Arabic alphabet became the longest-time-used alphabet which lasted until the first years of the young Turkish Republic. The first discussions over the alphabet used by the society started during the Ottoman Reformation when the westernization ond the modernization were pioneered by the elite and the government itself. All those efforts were only limitted by the rehabilitation of the letters themselves. After the Republic was established, the alphabet was changed to latin alphabet with the idea that it would help people learn the language much more easily, and of course the change would also help the young Republic realize its westernization-modernization ideas. İn the thesis,first the alphabets used by the Turks examined, and also its developments during Ottoman Reformation until the first years of Turkish republic. By doing so we also touched upon the Turkish modernization. You will also see some statistical information in the study and showing the effects of the revolution on people's general education and their access to knowledge. Also the economical, political effects of the revolution on daily life was explained. The new alphabet affected the turkish society on so many levels up until today and that fact was also greatly emphasized in the study. | en_US |
