Hemşirelik Lisans Öğrencilerinde Savunuculuk Eğitiminin Sosyal Adalet Savunuculuğu Becerisi ve Etik Duyarlılık Üzerine Etkisi: Randomize Kontrollü

Özet
Bu çalışma bir kamu üniversitesi hemşirelik son sınıf lisans öğrencilerinde savunuculuk
eğitiminin sosyal adalet savunuculuk becerisi ve etik duyarlılık üzerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla
planlanmış randomize kontrollü çalışmadır. Araştırma, 2019-2020 eğitim öğretim yılı güz döneminde
Konya’ da bir Hemşirelik Fakültesinde gerçekleşmiştir. Çalışma grubunu lisans son sınıf 120 öğrenci
içinden dahil etme kriterlerini karşılayan 112 öğrenciden basit rastgele örnekleme ile seçilen 80 öğrenci
oluşturmuştur. Araştırmaya alınan 80 öğrenci deney (40) ve kontrol (40) gruplarına randomize olarak
atanmıştır. Gruplar ön test puan ortalamalarına göre benzer bulunmuştur. Deney ve kontrol gruplarına
uygulanan ön ve son testler, Bilgi Formu Sosyal Adalet Savunuculuğu Ölçeği, Ahlaki Duyarlılık
Ölçeğidir. Deney grubundaki öğrenciler savunuculuk eğitimi almıştır. Savunuculuk eğitim programı 12
hafta boyunca 2 saat olmak üzere teorik eğitim, vaka tartışması, film ve video gösterimi, Web tabanlı
çalışma, Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumu uygulaması, poster hazırlığı ve sunum etkinliği gibi çeşitli çalışmalar
içermektedir. Kontrol grubu rutin ders programını almıştır. Her iki gruba 26/ Aralık/ 2019 tarihinde son
testler uygulanmıştır. Veriler, bağımlı gruplarda t testi ve etki büyüklüğü Cohen d (%95 CI) ile
değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma öncesi girişimsel olmayan klinik araştırmalar etik kurul izni alınmıştır.
Çalışmanın sonucunda, deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin SAS ve ADA ölçeği ön ve son test puan
ortalamaları karşılaştırılması ve deney grubu öğrencilerinin SAS ve ADA ön ve son test puan
ortalamalarının zamana göre değişiminde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur (p<0.005).
Etki büyüklüğü güçlü düzeydedir. Uygulanan savunuculuk eğitim programı öğrencilerde sosyal adalet
savunuculuğu becerisi ve ahlaki duyarlılığı anlamlı düzeyde artırmıştır. Savunuculuk eğitim
programının farklı öğrencilerde test edilmesi önerilir.
This study was carried out in Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Nursing in the 2019- 2020 academic year, in the city center of Konya. The study group consisted of 80 students selected by simple random sampling from 112 students who provided the inclusion criteria among 120 students enrolled in the undergraduate students' fall term. Then, these 80 randomly selected students were randomly assigned to experimental (40) (advocacy lesson) and control (40) (routine lesson) groups. Pretests were applied to the experimental and control groups on 7 / October / 2019. According to their pretest mean scores, groups were found similar. Student Socio-demographic Characteristics, Social Justice Scale, and Moral Sensitivity were applied as pre and post tests to the experimental and control groups. The experimental group students received advocacy training. The advocacy training program includes various studies such as theoretical training, case study, and film and video screening, Web-based study, Social Security Institution (SGK) practice, poster preparation, and presentation activity throughout the 12 weeks and 2 hours. At the same time, the control group took the routine curriculum. After the training program, post-tests were applied to both groups on 26 / December / 2019. Data were evaluated with t test in dependent groups and effect size Cohen’s d (95% CI). Non- invasive Investigation Ethics Committee approval was obtained before this study. In the evaluation of the data, in the comparison of the post-test scores of the experimental and control groups, the correlation coefficient between t-test and SAS and ADA scores were made in independent groups. As a result of this study, a statistically significant difference was found by comparing the experimental and control group students' SAS and ADA scale pre and post test mean scores and by changing according to time in the experimental group student’s SAS and ADA pre and post test mean scores (p <0.005) and the effect size is strong. The advocacy education program implemented significantly increased social justice advocacy skills and moral sensitivity. It is recommended that the advocacy training program be tested on different students.
