Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, Lise 1. sınıf Biyoloji dersinde okutulan “Hücrenin Yapısı ve İşlevleri” konusunun öğretilmesinde hazır modellerin kullanılması ile öğrencilere model yaptırılması arasında farklılık olup olmadığını tespit etmektir. Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu Karasınır Çok Programlı Lisesi 1. sınıf öğrencilerinden rastgele seçilen 90 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Bu öğrencilerden 30’u kontrol, 60’ı deney grubu olarak ayrılmıştır. Deney grubu da 30 kişilik iki gruba ayrılmıştır. 30 öğrenciye hazır modeller kullanılarak, diğer 30 öğrenciye ise kendilerinin yaptıkları modeller ile hücrenin yapısı ve işlevleri konusu verilmiştir. Kontrol grubunda ise geleneksel yöntemle konu işlenmiştir. Gruplar arasındaki
farklılığı tespit etmek için başarı testi araştırma öncesinde ve sonrasında her üç gruba
da ön test ve son test olarak uygulanmıştır. Testten elde edilen bulgular ise SPSS
programı kullanılarak saptanmıştır. Sonuçta, deney 2 grubunun hem kontrol hem de deney 1 grubuna göre hücrenin yapısı ve işlevleri konusunu daha iyi kavradıkları tespit edilmiştir.
The aim of this research is to find out whether there is a difference between the use of the prepared models and the models which are made by the students themselves while teaching ”Cell Structure and Functions” to the high scholl ninth grade students. The example group of the research is established by 90 randomly choosen Karasınır Multi Programmed High School ninth grade students. 30 of the students were control group and 60 of the students were experiment group. Moreover, the experiment group was again divided into two 30 students group. The first group of the 30 students were taught by the prepared cell structure and functions models and the other group of the 30 students were taught by the help of the models, which were prepared by the students themselves. To the control group the subject was explained in traditional methods. The groups of three took the success test at the beginning and end of the research, to define the differences between the groups. Results of the test were obtained by the help of SPSS. Finally, it is observed that experiment 2 group grasped “Cell Structure and Functions” more successfully than both control and experiment 1 group.
