Lojistik Sektörü İşletmelerinin Finansal Performanslarının İncelenmesi: Borsa İstanbul Örneği

Özet
Günden güne gelişen ve pazar payını sürekli artıran lojistik sektörü, uluslararası ticaretin ayrılmaz bir parçasıdır. Bu
kapsamda etkin bir finansal yönetim, sektörde yer alan işletmelerin, rakiplerine oranla öne çıkmasında önemli bir
husustur. Bu çalışmada, Borsa İstanbul’da (BIST) işlem gören lojistik sektörü işletmelerinin finansal etkinliklerinin
belirlenmesi ve bunların değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada, küresel ölçekte faaliyet gösteren lojistik
işletmelerinin finansal performansında etkili olduğu değerlendirilen ve eikon datastream veri tabanından elde edilen
2020 ve 2021 yıllarına ait finansal performans göstergeleri kullanılarak çok kriterli karar verme teknikleri (Entropi
tabanlı CODAS) kullanılmıştır. İki farklı yöntemin kullanıldığı çalışma sonucunda; analize konu 10 lojistik işletmesi
arasında genel olarak sıralamanın çok değişkenlik göstermediği belirlenmiştir. Böylece her iki yöntemin güvenilir
sonuçlar ürettiği anlaşılan çalışma sonuçlarına göre 2020 yılında finansal açıdan güçlü olan ve ilk sıralarda yer alan
işletmelerin, 2021 yılında da bu yapılarını korudukları gözlenmiştir. Lojistik sektörü, hizmet sunumu kapsamında ele
alınmakta ve doğrudan ürünle ilgili olmamakla birlikte ürün fiyatları üzerinde ve dolayısıyla işletmeler açısından karlılık
ve rekabet edebilirlik yönlerine doğrudan etki etmektedir. Çalışmanın, lojistik işletmelerinin etkinlik sıralaması
yapılmasında farklı çok kriterli karar verme tekniklerinin bütüncül olarak kullanılması ve iki yıl için karşılaştırmalı bir
değerlendirme yapılmış olması bakımından özgünlük taşıdığı değerlendirilmektedir
The logistics sector, which is developing day by day and constantly increasing its market share, is an important part of international trade. In this context, an efficient financial management is an important issue for the companies in the sector to stand out compared to their competitors. In this study, it is aimed to determine and evaluate the financial efficiency of logistics sector enterprises traded in Borsa Istanbul (BIST). In the study, multi-criteria decision making techniques (Entropy-based CODAS) were used by using financial performance indicators for the years 2020 and 2021, which are evaluated to be effective in the financial performance of logistics businesses operating on a global scale and obtained from the eikon datastream database. As a result of the study in which two different methods were used; It was determined that the ranking did not show much variation among the 10 logistics enterprises subject to the analysis. Thus, according to the results of the study, which are understood to produce reliable results from both methods, it has been observed that the companies that are financially strong in 2020 and that are in the first place maintain this structure in 2021 as well. The logistics sector is handled within the scope of service provision and although it is not directly related to the product, it has a direct impact on product prices and therefore on profitability and competitiveness aspects for businesses. It is considered that the study is original in terms of using different multi-criteria decision-making techniques holistically in ordering the efficiency of logistics enterprises and making a comparative evaluation for two years.
