Özet
Âşıklık geleneği, çeşitli aşamalardan geçmiş, etkileme ve etkilenme gibi süreçler
yaşayıp değişim ve gelişim göstererek günümüze kadar gelmiştir. Ozanlar, bugün
de Anadolu sahasında canlı bir şekilde yaşamaya devam eden âşıklık geleneğinin
öznesi olsalar da onların içtimai alandaki işlevselliklerinin giderek azalması dikkat
çekicidir. Âşık edebiyatında bu geleneğin temsilcileri sadece âşık olarak değil,
başka isimlerle de anılmaktadır. Ozan, saz şairi ve âşık genellikle anlamdaş olarak
kullanılmıştır. Bu bağlamda bireysel ve toplumsal temalı yazmış olduğu şiirleriyle
âşıklık geleneği içinde sözlü-yazılı-elektronik kültür ortamlarında üretim, tüketim
ve icra faaliyetleri gösteren Seyfettin Çoban da söz konusu âşıklardan biridir. Bu
makalede; Seyfettin Çoban’ın kendisinden mülakat yöntemiyle elde edilen
bilgilerden hayat hikâyesi kısaltılarak aktarıldıktan sonra, yayımlanmamış
şiirlerinden örneklerle, şiirlerinde işlediği konuların yoğunluğuna göre kategori
analizinin yapılması ve içerik analizi ile halk şiiri geleneğindeki yerini ortaya
çıkarmak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmamızın kapsamını onun yayımlanmamış 241
şiiri oluşturmaktadır. Makalede ozan kime denir sorusu yazılı kaynaklar ışığında
tartışılmış, Seyfettin Çoban’ın âşıklık geleneği içindeki yeri tespit edilmeye
çalışılmış, şiirleri üretim, tüketim, icra ve performans teori bağlamıyla
araştırılmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden görüşme ve yazılı dokümanların
incelenmesi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmamızın Seyfettin Çoban'ın hayatı,
şiirleri ve âşık tarzı şiir geleneğindeki yeri hakkında yayımlanmamış şiirleri
üzerine makale boyutunda ortaya konan ilk çalışma olması açısından ileride
yapılacak çalışmalara rehberlik edeceğini düşünmekteyiz.
The minstrelsy tradition has gone through several phases, has experienced processes such as influencing and being influenced and has survived to the present day by showing change and development. Although the poets are the subjects of the minstrel tradition that survives in Anatolia today, it is noteworthy that their functionality in the social field is gradually decreasing. Representatives of this tradition in minstrel literature are not only referred to as minstrels, but also by other names. Ozan, Saz Şairi, and Aşik are generally used as synonyms. In this context, Seyfettin Çoban, who realized production, consumption, and performance activities in oral-written-electronic cultural environments within the tradition of minstrelsy with his poems written with individual and social themes, is one of the said minstrels. In this article, it was aimed to make a category analysis according to the intensity of the subjects touched on by Seyfettin Çoban in his poems, with examples from his unpublished poems, and to reveal his position in the folk poetry tradition with content analysis, after his life story was summarized and quoted from the information obtained by the interview method. The scope of our research consists of 241 unpublished poems of him. In the article, the question of who is called an ozan (the poet-singer) was discussed in the light of written sources, Seyfettin Çoban's position in the tradition of minstrelsy was tried to be determined, and his poems were researched in the context of production, consumption, and performance theory. Interview and written documents review, which are among the qualitative research methods, were used. We believe that our research will guide future studies, as it is the first study on Seyfettin Çoban's life, poems, and his position in the tradition of minstrel poetry, which is presented as an article on his unpublished poems.
