Ortaokul matematik ders kitaplarındaki etkinliklerin matematiksel ilişkilendirme becerisi açısından incelenmesi

Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı; 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında ortaokullarda kullanılan matematik ders kitaplarındaki etkinliklerin matematiksel ilişkilendirme bağlamında incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın veri kaynaklarını her bir sınıf düzeyinden iki ders kitabı olmak üzere; biri MEB diğeri özel bir yayınevi tarafından hazırlanan sekiz matematik ders kitabı oluşturmaktadır. Ders kitabında yer alan etkinliklerin incelenmesinde doküman analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Etkinlikler, matematiği günlük hayatla ilişkilendirme, matematiği farklı disiplinlerle ilişkilendirme, matematiksel kavramın farklı gösterimleri arasında ilişkilendirme ve kavramlar arasında ilişkilendirme kategorileri altında analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre, genel olarak matematik ders kitaplarında yer alan etkinliklerin en çok günlük hayatla ilişkilendirildiği görülmektedir. Sıklıkla kullanılan bir diğer matematiksel ilişkilendirme türü ise; kavramların farklı gösterimleri arasında ilişkilendirilmesidir. Bununla birlikte; 5. sınıf ders kitaplarında kavramlar arası ilişkilendirmeye, 6. sınıf ders kitaplarında kavramlar arası ilişkilendirmeye birlikte matematiği farklı disiplinlerle ilişkilendirmeye, 7. ve 8. sınıf ders kitaplarında matematiği farklı disiplinlerle ilişkilendirmeye az sayıda yer verildiği tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçların, ders kitaplarının yazımına, lisans düzeyinde okutulan "Matematik Öğretiminde İlişkilendirme" dersinin içeriğine ve bu konu hakkında çalışma yapacak diğer araştırmacılara yol göstereceği düşünülmektedir.
The aim of this research is to examine the activities in the mathematics textbooks used in secondary schools in the 2021-2022 academic year in the context of mathematical connection skills. The data sources of the research consist of eight mathematics textbooks, two textbooks from each grade level, one prepared by the Ministry of National Education and the other prepared by a private publishing house. The document analysis method was used to analyze the activities in the textbook. The activities were analyzed under the categories of real life connection, connection with different disciplines, connection among different presentations of the concept, connection between concepts. According to the results obtained from the research, it is seen that the activities in the mathematics textbooks are mostly associated with real life. Another frequently used type of mathematical connection is associating concepts between different representations. However, it has been determined that there are few activities about connection between concepts in the 5th grade textbooks, connection between concepts and connection with different disciplines in the 6th grade textbooks and connection with different disciplines in the 7th and 8th grade textbooks. It is thought that the results obtained from the research will contribute to the writing of the textbooks, the content of the course of "Connections in Mathematics Education" and other researchers who will work on this subject.
