Özet
İçten yanmalı motorlar özellikle taşıma ve tarım sektöründe günlük hayatımızın vazgeçilmez bir parçasıdır. Ancak mevcut petrol kaynaklarının azalması ve çevre sorunları alternatif enerji kaynaklarına eğilimi hızlandırmıştır. Bu bakımdan alternatif enerji kaynaklarından biri olan hidrojenin gelecekte bu problemleri çözebilecek enerji kaynağı olması beklenmektedir. Bu kapsamda sıkıştırma ile ateşlemeli bir motorda, tam yükte farklı motor devirlerinde ilave yakıt olarak hidrojen kullanımının motor performans parametreleri ve egzoz emisyonlarına etkisi deneysel olarak araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla sıkıştırma oranı 17/1 olan 4 silindirli, 4 zamanlı, turbo şarjlı, motor hacmi 3.908 litre olan direk enjeksiyonlu bir sıkıştırma ile ateşlemeli (CI) motor kullanılmıştır. Dizel yakıt yanma odasına doğrudan enjekte edilirken, emme manifolduna %2.5, %5, %7.5 oranında hidrojen ilave edilmiştir.Yapılan deneysel çalışmalar sonucunda; tüm hidrojen ilave oranlarında motor momenti, motor gücü, motor termik verimi azot oksit ve egzoz gazı sıcaklıklarında artış meydana gelirken, hidrokarbon (HC), karbondioksit(CO) ve oksijen (O2) miktarında ise azalma meydana gelmiştir. Motor moment değeri 1250 d/dk?deki %7.5 hidrojen ilave oranında standart dizel çalışmasına göre %8.3 artış gösterirken, motor gücü değeri 2250 d/dk?da %7.5 hidrojen ilave oranında % 17 oranında artış göstermiştir. Motor termik verimi %2,5 hidrojen ilave oranında %24 artış göstermiştir. En düşük CO, CO2, HC ve NOx emisyonları standart dizel çalışmasına göre sırasıyla 2250 d/dk?da %0.013 ile %2.5 hidrojen ilave oranında, 2500 d/dk?da % 7.46 ile %7.5 hidrojen ilave oranında, 1250 d/dk?da 10 ppm ile %2.5 hidrojen ilave oranında ve 1000 d/dk?da1092 ppm ile %7.5 hidrojen ilave oranında elde edilmiştir.
Internal combustion engines are an indispensable part of our daily life, particularly in transportation and agriculture sectors. However, the reduction of petroleum resources and environmental problems are leading to an increasing trend towards alternative energy sources. In this regard, hydrogen usage is expected to be a solution for previously mentioned problems as one of the renewable energy resources. In this concept, effects of hydrogen as an additional fuel used in a compression ignition engine at full load and different engine speeds an internal combustion engine performance and exhaust emissions parameters investigated. For this purpose, a compression ignition engine (CI) with 17/1 compression ratio, 4 cylinders, 4 stroke, turbocharger and 3.908 litter engine volume was used. While diesel fuel was injected directly to combustion chamber, hydrogen was added to inlet manifold at rates of 2.5%, 5% and 7.5% as the volume As the results from this experimental study, an increase in engine torque, power, thermal efficiency, nitrogen oxides and exhaust gasses temperatures were acquired at every hydrogen addition ratios while a decrease in hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO) and oxygen (O2) emissions were attained. While engine torque exhibited an increase at a rate of 8.3% comparing with standard diesel operation at 1250 min-1 and 7.5% hydrogen addition ratio, engine power increased 17% at 2250 min-1 engine speed and 7,5% hydrogen addition ratio. Engine thermal efficiency showed an increase at a rate of 24% at 2.5% hydrogen addition ratio. The lowest CO, CO2, HC and NOx emission values were obtained at 2250 min-1 engine speed and 2.5% hydrogen addition ratio as 0.013%, 2500 min-1 engine speed and 7.5% hydrogen addition ratio as 7.4%, 1250 min-1 engine speed and 2.5% hydrogen addition ratio as 10 ppm and 1000 min-1 engine speed and 7,5% hydrogen addition ratio as 1315 ppm respectively comparing with standard diesel operation.
