dc.description.abstractAmaç: Bu in vitro çalışmanın amacı, polisaj ve farklı içeceklerde bekletme prosedürlerinin farklı tip ve markadaki geçici kuron materyallerinin renk stabiliteleri üzerine etkilerinin değerlendirilmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Her bir otopolimerizan geçici kron materyalinden (Dentalon Plus, Temdent, Tempac) disk şeklinde (10x2 mm) 48 adet örnek hazırlandı. Örnekler polisaj işlemi uygulanan ve uygulanmayan örnekler olarak 2 ana gruba ayrıldı. Kolorimetre cihazı (Minolta CR-300; Minolta Co, Osaka, Japan) ile örneklerin ilk renk ölçümlerinin yapılmasının ardından örnekler üç farklı içeceğe (çay, kahve ve şeftali suyu) daldırıldı (n=8). Dört hafta sonra, örneklerin 2. renk ölçümleri yapıldı ve iki ölçüm arasındaki renk farklılığı hesaplandı. Oluşan renk değişimlerini değerlendirmede istatistiksel olarak Üç Yönlü Varyans Analizi kullanıldı. Gruplar arasındaki istatistiksel anlamlı farklar Tukey’s Çoklu Karşılaştırma Testi, grup içi ikili karşılaştırmalar ise bağımlı gruplar t-testi ile incelendi (p<0,05). Bulgular: En düşük renk değişimi polisaj uygulanmayan metakrilat esaslı Tempac-çay grubunda, en yüksek renk değişimi polisaj uygulanmayan metakrilat esaslı Temdent-çay grubunda gözlendi (p>0,05). Polisaj uygulanan örneklerde en düşük renk değişimi ise etilen metakrilat esaslı Dentalon Plus grubunda gözlendi (p<0,05). Sonuç: Tüm materyal gruplarında renk değişimi gözlendi. Polisaj işlemi etilen metakrilat esaslı Dentalon Plus ve metakrilat esaslı Temdent grubunda materyalin renk stabilitesine olumlu katkı sağladı. Çay solüsyonu, materyaller üzerinde kahve ve şeftali suyundan daha fazla renk değişimi gösterdi.en_US
dc.description.abstractBackground: The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate the effects of polishing and beverages on the color stability of three different types of provisional crown materials. Methods: 48 disc-shaped (10x2 mm) samples were fabricated from each auto-polymerizing temporary crown materials (Dentalon Plus, Temdent, Tempac). The samples were divided into 2 main groups as samples with and without polishing. After the first color measurements of the samples with the colorimeter device (Minolta CR-300; Minolta Co, Osaka, Japan), the samples were immersed in three different beverages (tea, coffee and peach juice) (n=8). Four weeks later, the second color measurements of the samples were made and the color difference between the two measurements was calculated. The results were statistically analyzed by using Three-Way ANOVA and Tukey's HSD tests; differences among each group were analyzed by using t-test (p <0,05). Results: The lowest color change was observed in the methacrylate-based Tempac-tea group without polishing, and the highest color change was observed in the methacrylate-based Temdent-tea group without polishing. The lowest color change was observed in the ethylene methacrylate-based Dentalon Plus group with polishing samples. Conclusion: Color change was observed in all material groups. The polishing process positively contributed to the color stability of the material in the ethylene methacrylate-based Dentalon Plus and methacrylate-based Temdent group. The tea solution induced more color change on the materials than coffee and peach juice.en_US
